  1. As the Scout rides higher what are the main difference's between the 2, could the scout suspension be retrofitted to the classic to make it ride higher, if not is there another way of raising the ride height as I keep scraping the speed bumps when loaded with passengers
  2. I have not tried it, but will the Columbus play films from an SD card???
  3. On the way down to Devon Mike asked me to call in, The coffee and buttys where very much appreciated, also he fished the remains of the dog guard out of my boot, I had spent hours looking for the supports for the top part and only spotted them when i was packing the boot to go on my hols ,forgot they where still there , lol
  4. No if you can put your toe under the pedal and it comes up a bit it will need the pedal changing, I just found this out it will cost £17 plus the vat and labor to change and is only a 20 min job. The spring inside the pedal assembly goes for some odd reason and causes this, you can still drive the car though just get it changed at the next service
  5. Well car all sorted, almost, took it to Matts at Volkscraft, fuel cooler now secured, he did not even have to remove the seat, just used what I would call self taping bolts, after this was done he took it for a drive came back not happy, still had a rattle, I said possibly drop links and this was confirmed, so replaced both now nice and quiet, steering feels as though its sharpened up by changing them?? He diagnosed my clutch pedal problem, I thought slave cylinder, something to do with a spring, thats is why its not fully returning to the top, he tried to get one as the whole pedal is only £17 plus vat, none in stock Any way a big thank you to Matt and the guys. PS Matt did you fiddle with the ECU, got 448 miles on the way home yesterday, and its still above half a tank, yet going down it was between the half and the quarter???, LOL
  6. If you do buy it and they need to change the belt make sure they change the water pump to a metal one
  7. Swmbo has water inside the OS headlight, the whole of the lens is misted up, yet the back inside the engine bay is dry, there are no visible cracks in the lens, are the light easy to remove to dry them out and would a thin line of silicone sealant work if applied around the seal I have thought about removing the bulbs and using a hair dryer to dry it out ???
  8. I could tell him Jason said put it on his next bill  I mainly need the front fuel cooler bolt re welding back on, to stop the knocking from under the car
  9. Sent off an email asking if they can do the few jobs needed while I am down there, are the pretty accommodating??
  10. I will be down in Devon for the next 2 weeks what of the 2 dealers would any of you recommend, to get a service and a few small outstanding jobs done

  12. Give it a good thrashing to clear it out and things will improve My 1.9 PD returns between 450 and 530 per tank town taxi work and thats with 207000 miles Last year managed 640 on a run to Plymouth, will see next week if I can beat that
  13. Had a drive on a dark road tonight what a massive difference, can see the road now, will get them checked on a beam setter just for piece of mind
  14. He fitted my Hids, and was slightly puzzled as they did not need to be coded,as I bought the none can-bus ones, they just worked strait out of the box, a 5 min job to fit and tuck the controllers inside the lamps. Thanks for that Mike, also updated maps at the same time, with speed cams
  15. Any problems with the DPFs like lose of power and how much roughly to have the DPF removed
  16. Puts brain back in gear you where on about the interior ones
  17. Scrub last post I miss read it thought you where on about interior ones
  18. I have a full set of black ones, available, changed to the chromed ones as they make the interior look better and passengers can see them in the dark Removing them is easy, remove grill, undo the torx screw, using a solid thin piece of plastic gently leaver the whole handle and surround off, gently turn the handle assembly over and unhook the cable it looks like the same as used on a bike break cable, replace in revers order
  19. The superb has projector lenses, and the HID kit fits inside the rear cover, 4300 are only slightly brighter than Ome and they are still not an mot failure as yet
  20. Will you do a strait swap, a set of steelys for your old ones
  21. Nip back to the dealers and they should update it for you for free,as you have just bought it, it takes around an hour to do and all they do is put there disc in and it updates itself
  22. My NS one started to come off, so back into town into pound land and a small tube of bathroom sealant apply around the edge about 2 centimeters in, and a cross in the centre put mirror back in place, press and hold for about a min and bobs your auntie. Is there a how to anywhere to replace the mirrors, as I like them to heat up in winter or when it raining to have a clear rear view
