  1. I share your pain, today some w@%#er decided to throw their door open straight into the side of my car, before driving off and leaving it for me to discover! What makes it worse is, I tried 3 different spaces before deciding on one that I thought was safe! Merry fecking christmas!
  2. I'm in the same boat as you, visited dealer Saturday 6th December, promised a call early the following week, no call received.Phone them again Friday 12th December, service manager had been off ill and apparently nobody else could progress it but him. Promised a call either Friday afternoon or Monday 15th. Here we are Saturday 20th and still no phone call received. Going to give them till Wednesday, when I'm off work and then I'm going to go to the head office/main dealership and see what they have to say about the whole situation!
  3. Anyone heard anything from their dealer/skoda about this issue, as people were saying skoda were looking into it. I'm still waiting for my dealer to get back to me, was promised a phone call either Friday or Monday p.m. and here I am still waiting! Not impressed!!!!
  4. I chased my dealer for an update, and was told he hasn't submitted it to skoda yet, as he's been off ill and would do it by Monday latest. So I will update, if and when I get a reply from them. Although he did say he can't imagine it being an issue, as its clear to see it's coming from underneath!
  5. Took my vrs back to the dealer on Saturday, no problems with their warranty guy. He took pictures and said he would submit them to skoda warranty and would be in contact as soon as he had a response, so fingers crossed. He did say he couldn't see any issues, as its clearly coming from underneath and nothing externally has caused it.
  6. Mine is 6mths old, new on the road beginning of June.
  7. Just checked my car, and surprise surprise mine is doing exactly the same. Lots of little pimples on the left hand side of the spoiler. Trip back to the dealers then!
  8. That's for importing contacts/addresses, I believe and not for poi's.
  9. Well I've double checked my menus and I don't have anything that would suggest being able to download poi's. My menu within the nav, when the settings button has been pressed on the touch screen, only lists the following: Left hand side: Route options Fuel options Advanced setup Import destinations Right hand side: Map Nav. announcement Manage memory Version information Any further advice/directions would gratefully be appreciated.
  10. I thought I'd look through all the nav menus? You couldn't tell me exactly where to look can you, please!
  11. I cant get this to work on my 2014 Amundsen either! I've got the latest maps.....thanks andyvee, I've followed the instructions and created the custom poi's without a problem, using an ASC file and 39*39 pixel images in PNG format. If I put them on a usb stick, I get a message saying "No playable files found". If I put them onto a memory card, I get a message saying "Software download", but then nothing happens. I've tried going through all of the menus, have searched the POI categories but nothing is there. Also tried to force an update by going through the setup menu - system information - update software, but again nothing. Which menu are you going into to get the poi download option? I've also tried pressing and holding the car button, as someone suggested, but nothing happens.
  12. Still cant get this to work on my 2014 Amundsen! I've got the latest maps.....thanks andyvee, I've followed the instructions and created the custom poi's without a problem, using an ASC file and 39*39 pixel images in PNG format. 13. Nope, don't wear either, all I can think it possibly is is the strap on my watch. I'm just annoyed it's happened on two covers, in the same place. I don't think it helps matters that there's no padding underneath the side sections, it's just straight onto hard plastic. Seems strange if it's only happening to me though!
  14. I've just noticed that the leather cover on my front seat centre arm rest is damaged. There is a small scuff/scratch on the driver's side of the leather cover. This has happened before and I've already replaced the lid section once before. My coat doesn't catch it, I don't wear jeans with metal studs/rivets in them, my belt doesn't catch it either. All I can think it maybe is my watch catching it, when I put my seatbelt on. There is no padding on the side of the cover, it's straight onto the hard plastic underneath, which I don't think helps. At approx £70 for a new one, I'm not going to be replacing it again straight away. I've never had this problem before, and I've had 3 other VRs cars and the same watch. Has anyone else had any similar problems with this?
  15. Well I've tried again, right from the start. I can create the poi files using the pocket GPS world files and the above German website. When I put the usb in the car, all it says is "No playable files found" and it says the same matter if I'm in the navigation or not. I've even tried through menu button, setup, system information, update software, but again I just get an error message. Any advice or directions greatly received!
  16. How did you apply the poi's from the usb stick?
  17. What did you do, to get it to work. Only Ben at shark has coded mine, and every time it's turned on a warning message appears on the maxidot saying it has failed.
  18. Ta da, all fitted and working. Thanks to andyvee I managed to take the car apart and rebuild it with no damage, route all the cables and fit the wiring/lights with no problems. Thanks also to Ben at shark performance for the coding!
  19. Thanks, I will see how I go and if I get stuck will give you guys a shout!
  20. Well if I get completely stuck, I maybe calling on your expert knowledge! Once again thanks!
  21. No offence taken, I appreciate the advice. I'm always open to help and advice, don't suppose your anywhere local to the Derbyshire area andyvee?
  22. I fitted them with no problems to my 11 reg VRs, but the plug was a lot easier to get to. Thanks for the pointers, I will have another look, I've just been trying to pull it off as per the previous instructions. Your the first person I've seen mention this locking catch, even the skoda tech I asked wasn't sure how,it came off.
  23. Sorry if I'm being thick andyvee, but my technical knowledge is nit that great. How exactly did you move the locking piece, I don't think I can see clearly how to do this! Once again, thanks for your help!
