  1. Now I am confused! Surely Skoda must realise that if people want full leather seats, they will want the heated seat option too. I started off being unsure wether to order the leather or not, as I hadnt physically seen what the leather is like, and two different dealers gave me different descriptions of it. But now dealers are saying you cant have them heated, and then another says you can??
  2. I dont suppose anyone has taken delivery of their VRs with leather interior yet? Only Ive got to decide if Im having it or not and place the order with the dealer!
  3. Seems like everyone is going for the leather option, might stick with the standard seats, just to be the different one! haha Just wish I could see what the leather is actually like before deciding to order or not!
  4. Thanks for the link, they are better pictures, at least you can see what you get for your money. Although the picture has created one more question in my mind...............does the FL come with blue lit dials, as they look like that in the pic!
  5. Ive been looking at the new Octavia, and considering the full leather seat option, although I have one problem! Ive been to two dealers, and one (Rainworth) has said the leather option is similar to that in the Fabia VRs, which were a hard/shiny leather. The second dealer (Gordon Lamb) have told me they are a soft leather, like those in the Superb, but with a Recaro fitting? Can anyone confirm which type they are, pics of them actually in someones car would be excellent! Only I dont want to spend the extra money and end up with hard/shing, cheap looking leather seats! As a side note, Ive now been to three dealers and the difference in price is £1100, quite a lot really!
  6. REVO`s reply to my question about the figures! "We’re only quoting the peak increases which in the grand scheme of things mean very little. If you look at the power and torque graphs you’ll see there’s a bigger increase in both lower down the rev range. This is the difference you actually feel on the road! It’s a great engine with software on it, the peak power increase tells you very little… peak numbers are really only useful for pub bragging rights, however that’s typically what people want to hear (me included!). So you’re aware we offer a 30day money back guaranty on all our software! I’ve seen well over 200BHP on them with Revo software! It’s all dependant on the dyno as well though."
  7. Has anyone had any dealings with Revo, or got anymore information on their CR Remap. Their website is claiming gains of +15bhp and +44 Torque, doesnt seem very much for £400 worth of remap!! Especially when they claim the PD engine in a Seat is 191bhp and 289 Torque as standard, with gains up to 214bhp and 325 torque.
  8. Any chance of some pictures and explaination of how they fit into the car! Please
  9. Both me and my brother have had exactly the same problem, and lost them from the locking nuts after about 2,000 miles. According to the dealer, its a British manufacturing error. They are made just for the UK market, and are fitted when the cars come off the boat at the docks. I had a word with the dealer, and they ordered me some for free, and touch wood, these seem to be a little better, although I am a bit OCD with them now and keep checking they are pushed on tightly. Even considered putting either a bit of blutack or silicone behind them.
  10. Had problems with mine going off, when it was only a matter of months old, and turning the internal sensors off made no difference, ended up having to leave it unlocked!! Took it back to the dealers, and they confirmed that the interior sensors (just above the sun glasses holder/rear view mirror) had failed. Quick replacement and I was away, since then (touch wood) no problems. So Id get them checked out, especially as its under warrenty still!
  11. Ive had the same email, although mines now worth £11,525, thats £1,670 more than first offer!!
  12. I know what you mean about the dealers not being able to pick up on these things! Apparently 3 people extensively test drove mine, although they only did 4 miles between them, and none of them could hear it! Yet I drive the car and hear it all the time!
  13. Over the last few months Ive been getting a buzzing noise from the B Pillar area. Its not that loud that it can be heard from anywhere else but the drivers seat, but is loud enough to keep annoying me! Rainworth Skoda, claim that 3 other people have extensively test driven it, and cant hear anything! Anyone got any ideas/suggestions, as its looks like weve got to go their job for them!!
  14. Anyone had any updates from Skoda on this? Only Im still waiting for Rainworth to sort their lifes out and get me an answer, apparently they have registered it with Skoda and thats it!
  15. Asked at my local bodyshop, known the owner for years. He told be that it would need all the chrome stripping off and back to the plastic, then primer, then painting. He quoted me £125. Anyone think thats a good price?
  16. What???? Why would we want to "reject" our cars!?!?!
  17. Which dealer did you go to? Was it Rainworth??? Ive had to pay a couple of visits to them, and not had great service! Try Clock Garage at Spondon Derby, bit out of the way, but get a lot better service and respect!!
  18. Just done a quote on mine, 58 plate CR VRs, 5mths old, with 3,500 miles on the clock! They quoted £9,855 (subject to inspection), nearly fell off my chair!!!
  19. The one at Preston, although saying that, the lad in parts didnt seem to know what he was on about, had to keep leaving the phone and asking someone else!! Out of interest, how much did yours cost??
  20. Can only tell you what the bloke in parts told me!
  21. Just phoned Simpson`s, they dont stock them, but can get them to order. £240.01 for the bluetooth kit and £105 fitting!
  22. I recently asked at my local dealer (Rainworth @ Mansfield) and was quoted £325 for a bluetooth kit, but was told I would loose the sun glasses holder and they would need to take the roof lining down to get at the roof airel!?!?!? Dont know if this was for an OEM setup of aftermarket? Anyone got any advice or better suggestions?
  23. Dont know if your aware, but Skoda dont make rear mud flaps for the VRs. The standard ones will fit, but need a bit of work with a hair drier to close the gap up between the bumper and the mud flap. There are quite a few posts on how to fit them on here! The fronts will fit straight on and use the existing wheel liner holes and screws!
