  1. Enjoy. If the Beemer is anything like the MX in the wet/snow (RWD) don't blame you getting some spare sensible shoes. As to FIATs (bit OT)...I keep nosing at 124 spyders and Dinos at the moment! Not blooming cheap either! Still one of my favourite car companies
  2. It's drivers in general. Poor road manners, lack of basic skills etc etc. I can't believe how common it is nowadays for people content not to indicate and do things like park on the zig zags by a zebra crossing as two examples (happens a lot by a bank near to us the zig zag parking) Maybe its because the only traffic offence police seem to concentrate on is speeding.Think far more accidents are caused by drivers not obeying the basics of driving as opposed to speeding
  3. I'd have a DS but nothing else. Think its because I like subtitled French films. Anyway,OT.COTY I don't pay attention to.I suppose I am more swayed by What Car mag and my own prejudices when buying cars .
  4. I still have to see it (partly on Apogees approach..so I have seen them all).Sounds like I will be disappointed. Recorded Thunderball the other day to watch again.I love the 60's ones. (OT but was the Indiana J film any good? I love that kind of stuff)
  5. Had a good day Saturday.Anyone else go? Saw that Alfa 8C in the flesh.I just cannot explain how stunning the thing was.You can keep your Ferraris etc. (Please God,let it depreciate like a normal Alfa so I can have one:D) Others to note......I had just looked at some stunning Delta Integrale.I was told to look at the new one.Aaaaaaaaargh MY EYES .Just terrible Old minis were fantastic and so was the 275 Ferrari. They don't make cars like they used to...nice ones I mean.Blooming NCAP:(
  6. Car of the Year award....thats had some cracking (read weird)winners in the past.Very odd. As to the Vauxhall, reading Auto Express,I really thought what a bland car.Preferred the Vectras looks. Saw my first Superb II on Saturday.I thought it looked incredibly classy
  7. I used to borrow the wife's Vanish stuff she used with her washing . Don't know exactly what it was but it worked a treat.
  8. Battoning down the hatches at the moment. Both our cars really do the job and (apart from one with a few pounds outstanding ) are paid for. New cars would be an unnecessary extravagance and we are concentrating on paying the mortgage/doing the house up. VED gets right up my nose though.Tempts me to only buy older more polluting cars in the future.Sorry, bit OT
  9. I think we've all gone mental. Walk down a high street (bit like that advert) and watch how many people are head down, walking along texting. Mad!
  10. Admit I was addicted to the very first Tomb Raider game but nothing has done it for me since. (used to wake up in the night after having a revelation as to how to solve a puzzle and turn the computer on to see if I was right)
  11. Love cleaning my car,but.... for some reason it looks really smart covered in all manner of dirt.I've even thought about getting some black wheels...honest. I will give it some proper TLC soon though...and yes,I don't like to leave a car caked in salt
  12. Internet is useful. Having said that,I think it has turned the world upside down morally and I'll be chuffed the day it goes kaput. Suppose a bit off topic but just my views on the chaotic state of it
  13. This is what I don't understand.Where has all this money gone and why are taxpayers bailing Banks out with billions?
  14. Wife told me when she went to pick up the children from her sister's she was greeted by her sisters 3 year old with the following out of the blue statement. "Grandads gone to the sky hasn't he"(died years ago) "Yes darling, gone to the sky" "Yes,he's in the sky,he's gone to Devon" "Heaven" "No,he's in Devon" Suppose its the same thing when its sunny:D They do make me smile kids..any more?
  15. If we were lucky enough for that to happen,I'd simply keep paying the same mortgage figure:thumbup:. Fantastic to see how our ridiculous economy built on house prices is stuffed.Reeks of panic to me. Can't see trackers being offered for new mortgages.Everyone else will have to suffer the 6/7% rate.
  16. I'm one of Clarksons biggest fans....but confess I fast forwarded the lorry bit (I'd recorded it) Some of the 'stuff to come'looks good though
  17. Saw it in what car and thought it looked smart. Alfa has one of the greatest grills whatever model of Alfa sporting it
  18. Brother's Porsche 911(996) Turbo. I'd had a spin in a n/a one previously and was fairly unimpressed. This thing genuinely frightened me. So,suppose it did 'surprise' me finding out these things are the real deal
  19. Well, poll is 50/50. Whether people think its a storm in a teacup or not,it sums up society a bit. Edit Oh,sod it..seems like a publicity thing for all involved
  20. Just googled her *cough* Very nice.Mind you,the site I read described her measurements as "5'5""
  21. I'm no prude but 'shock' stuff all smacks of desperation to me.I did actually find it offensive. Listening to the extract it just sounded incredibly childish. Mind you,I'm no big fan of swearing either.Yes I swear, but there is a time and a place. In private!
  22. When our dog went off his legs we thought he really is suffering.Had to hold him up for the toilet. Incredibly hard to make the decision but if they are suffering its just not fair. One of the saddest things I have done, accompanying him to the vets
  23. Anyone who doesn't subscribe to the 'turn all the street lights off,run a 1.2 diesel and carry your shopping home in your pockets' enviromentalists gets 10/10 for me. We should all drive one
