  2. Nice!! Never thought of using a circ polarizer at night!!
  3. I agree, the Pairs Metro is miles behind the tube, it baffles even the French!! But the TGV is fabulous!! Lyon's metro and bus network is brilliant, not found anything that rivals it yet!
  4. Having lived in France, whilst I agree their transport system is lightyears ahead of ours, their health system is miles behind our NHS (there was no known walk in A&E when I was there) and tracking down treatment compared to here, was a real challenge. I wouldn't say their public services work better.
  5. Gutted too, not worth adding Sky Movies as they will just milk us for all its worth!! Just wait for Bluray me thinks!!
  6. Just spoke to Chris Knott today, and they said Zurich, my underwriters were fine with me having Powerflex bushesm they don't count as a mod, unlike lowering my car etc!
  7. Awesome GTI do the Cupra Powerflex bushes, thinking of having them put on my Fabia Vrs as my originals are worn out, would be very interested to find out if they are a declarable mod! :wonder:
  8. Hi Tim, I know you are popular for modifications, I will be replacing my front wishbone bushes soon (they need doing :'( ) on my Fabia Vrs. I know Zurich who underwrite my policy don't allow mods, so please could you clarify whether replacing my bushes with the longer-lasting solid Seat Cupra Powerflex bushes would count as a modification and be permissable with Zurich? This info may be useful for others considering having this work done I have tried to phone Chris Knott, but haven't been able to get hold of you as you are only open 9-5 Mon-Fri, and I work those same hours and can't spend the short fixed breaks I have on hold to yourselves. Anychane of also making your opening hours a little more customer-friendly, please?
  9. Hi Daniel, i've got a Sony A350, don't know loads, but feel free to ask away! I have quite a few of my shots on here too, not perfect but a start!
  10. Wonder how a black and white version of the bro and 2 bridesmaids would look?
  11. Good work dude, nice candid shots, and not "overposed"!
  12. You're welcome M'lady, you can just buy me a drink later!

  17. Crakcing pics Rob!, love the cat's expressions and also the "smother" shot by Sam! I'm guessing really fast shutter speed!
  18. Help!! Windows Messenger Live stopped working for me, kept throwing up loads of errors, so I though I would uninstall it and then do a fresh install.... It must be hidden on my system somewhere, as I can't find it but it says I already have Windows Live Messenger when I try to download a fresh version. Any bright ideas how to completely remove it so I can start from scratch? Cheers!!
  19. Yes please Kiwi, that would be great! Cropping is something I always struggle with! Cheers dude!
  20. Hi Kiwi, thanks for the honest feedback. I can't really be compared to experienced pro's, not had the experience, yet! It was cloudy and light very changeable (used Auto WB for that very reason) and kept trying to get the ISO right as one minute it would underexpose, then over expose! I was limited by my kit, and also the venue, not much space along the sidelines and behind the trylines and trying to cover 2 games at once. Some of the distance ones were of my team (they wanted the pics) and a mate's team who got a couple of tries against the eventual winners (tries were very hard to come by against the winners, so the pics are for posterity!) I don't think ALL the pics are blurred, but always room for improvement  Touch Rugby is one of the fastest and most unpredictable sports there is, much faster than Union, League or Football, but practice will make perfect! I was trying to use single shot AF and focus on the ball carrier, as the Continuous AF on my Sony A350 is not that fast and struggles to lock when I find the shot I want. I see what you mean about the cropping, will re-crop this wknd and bear in mind for framing the pics when I take them in future. I only had time to do basic light and contrast tweaks, but once this week is over, I can have more of a play with these, plus the saturation. The client was really happy with the pics, so hopefully he will be doubly happy next time! If any pro sports photographers are over here, I'd love to shadow you for a day  , its the best way I learn if anyone fancies helping shoot a National Touch Rugby tournament in June here in Manchester, let me know!
  21. Aha, the photos from the tournament at last! Touch Rugby Tournament - Manchester Chargers Feb 2010
  22. Ahem, I was talking about the Puppy, (singular), and the plural, Puppies!
