Nice choice, I have been fancying the "Silver Leaf Metallic"...that is until one dealer described it as........"Metallic Beige".....
-
...........and apparently the VW is so much better it only needs 1 yr "Recovery" instead of the Skoda 3....!

We have a pond with a few less than prize specimens but sadly no aquarium.
I get to walk up the garden, say "mornin' guys" to them (yes I know....), throw food in every day (warmer weather of course)clean out the filter, clean out the pump, replace the UV light add all sorts of expensive chemicals etc. etc.
...and you know it is kinda fun though.....

My late Dad worked at a Datsun/Nissan dealer through most of the 70's/80's & just about everything available at that time came home with him & I had a sneaky test drive or two !
Happy memories of some of the cars mentioned in this thread....thanks guys !

Enjoy your new car stripes or not...
I'm a mid 50's bloke driving a "BriskMazda" .....!
With luck, there may be time for us all to wonder what others think a long time in the future....!

There was a new Sport on the car park in a deep red colour and it looked very nice.
The SZ4 range topper with a great spec(not the sporty one though) is about £11.5 k vat free so pretty good methinks.

While taking a look at the Citigo in the local dealer......it was a brief perusal as the car was locked and the salesman (yes there was 1...!) was preparing a Yeti test drive..
So I wandered over to the Suzuki side of the showroom and checked out the latest version (with minor improvements apparently) of the Swift and what a smart little car it looks too.
It makes the ancient Fabia look pretty sad I think.
As anyone got any knowledge or experience of this car....?
Currently on vat free so seems like a good deal......or is it a cheapo rattly bag of nails....?

Thanks for the info...they certainly look nice bits of kit.
An "Oysterdate Chronograph" whatever that is.....was £638 rrp back in 1989...

An elderley neighbour has given me a sales brochure from 1989 for Tudor watches.
He is an interesting chap and we normally chat about cars & watches so I am always pleased to pass the time with him.
We are both a bit stumped however by this company.....
There is a feeling that Tudor are connected to (or made by ) Rolex, they certainly appear similar in this brochure. Are they the Rolex "B team".....?
Does anyone know anything about them..? I know that I could become an instant "expert" via Wikioogle and impress him with my new found knowledge but c'mon it is always more interesting if there is some real info about & I know we have a few "Watch Guys" on here.
Any help as always gratefully recieved.

Anybody hear the guy on LBC radio who called in this morning while they were discussing this...?
He had been a motorway commuter for 15 years and said he always drove in the middle lane and was seemingly not aware that as we drive on the left it was a good idea to occasionally make use of the nearside lane.
He was either....a wind up merchant, a great actor or sadly typical of too many poor drivers on the roads.

Sorry Donovan, away from t'net for a few days & you have probably moved on this particular car now...?...not standard wheels though .
-
"Sports Direct" in just about every high st always have lots of "Karrimore" walking shoes. Some are better than others and can be had for £20 ish.
...worth a look....?

As an "outsider" am I allowed to comment that I think the "standard" upholstery is an improvement over the "wavey" Kristal anyway....?

I had a Bora Sport pd 150 from new in 03 for 3 years.
It was a great car; one of my all time faves ! sadly for some bizarre reason I chose a gold colour and regretted it from day one !
Good luck with your search.

..............stick with the Mazda....!

I think he played bass when I saw Mick Ronson solo years ago.......?
Also used to have to catch Uriah Heep on every tour ....
RIP matey.

I have had no issues with my Mazda...not a 6.
In 12 months not a squeek or a rattle to complain of.
However the experiences with Mazda dealers....less than impressive. Even when you want to spend money with them !
If you can find a good Indy...that's where my custom would go.
Enjoy your new car.

Welcome along...enjoy your new car.

"Snear" a slightly strong word for a light hearted comment surely.....?
Glad that you like the colour anyhow.
