  1. I get around 40-45mpg in my VRS. I don't drive it in a particularly aggressive manner but do put my toe down every now and then. I'm blaming my low MPG on the K&N Apollo air filter I put on, I have no proof but I do have my suspicions!
  2. I bought my car with all 4 tyres being V rated. My new wheels came with W rated tyres but didnt think anything of it. I thought the load rating was what determined the weight as opposed to the speed rating?
  3. Eugh, sorry guys I hate very cheap cigs, Richmond especially Cheeky packet of Marlboro lights for me. I only buy in 10's if on a night out, if I buy 20 I will smoke them all :( And if you only have a few you get less scroungers loitering round you like a pack of hyenas in the smoking terrace.
  4. Why do you need W rated tyres? A V rating is fine for a Fabia vRS
  5. Did enjoy it, and funnily enough I lost my cigs (perhaps due to excess alcohol) so I quit prematurely. I have been "day smoking" quite a lot lately hence I decided it was time to quit. I'm finding it OK as I don't really have any urge to smoke in the day, just due to work etc it had become a habit. My issue is when weekend arrives, I love a cig with a pint of beer. Decided its for the best (maybe the odd one on hols) but other than that its ending. I've found the easiest way to ignore the urge is eating cool original Doritos, that is however having a detrimental effect on my weight!
  6. I quit after my birthday on Saturday, going well so far. Imagine I may have to have the odd one on holiday... we'll see! Keep it up Bezzy
  7. But is it? Unless I had a 300bhp+ stock car I would always be hankering for more power. Thats just me though
  8. Theres a fella knocking around on here with a remapped Bocanegra Ibiza. IIRC with a remap, exhaust and induction kit it can run 235bhp.
  9. He is a very bald and annoying man. Nice to see the car a bit more though.
  10. Sorted it, loose catch strap, can't believe I didnt spot that in the first place.
  11. Very swish, I'll give you a cookie if you can make me a tutorial how to fit it thread
  12. Love it! Can't wait to test drive one, then empty my bank balance :(
  13. Would you consider a Fabia vrs 2006 44k miles in p/x - Can come in a modified or standard form. Modified being eibach springs, koni dampers, stage 1 remap, Dotz Roadster 17" Wheels, RARB. Cruise control, bluetooth handsfree also. Pics available FMDSH
  14. Loud creak coming from the drivers door. Started on sunday and its not shifted, going to take a look at it now. Anybody any ideas about causes/solutions? Thanks
  15. Mild expression of interest from me, don't know what I will be driving by then.
  16. I'd avoid a crash damaged car, if the chassis has been weakened in the original crash I wouldn't like to see it in another impact. I've driven a Leon FR TDI 170 and that certainly had more pull than my Fabia, but with the figures you would expect it to? If your after a small warm diesel hatch, you won't go far wrong. With a RARB and remap (suspension change and brakes recommended too) the car becomes more refined and a joy to drive. Good luck searching and don't let a bad example put you off
  17. Where are you based? I can run VAG-COM for you if you are local
  18. Might not be the most practical, but a 7 style bike engined car would be fantastic. Take a look at the Bike engined cars section on Pistonheads classifieds.
  19. Count me in, birthday for me too Another year passing by
  20. Nice needles, wouldnt mind a footrest myself. As for the gearknob, I really like the shape of my standard one, good knob to hold too. Please don't make silly knob jokes about me
  21. I didnt find the power all that amazing if I'm honest, was MARGINALLY quicker than my vRS but really not that much in it to give it a "wow" factor. I just like the look of the new Fabia and the cabin looks very comfy. On drive the deal you can pick up a 2.0TFSI FL Octavia for £137 more than the Fabia I specced up. Obviously thats with no optional extra's but it is a hell of a deal!
  22. I did have that opinion, however the more I look at it the more I like it. Rallye Green with a black roof would be my choice!
  23. What do people think? At first I didn't like it. I decided to go out and drive a Ibiza Bocanegra TSI to get a feel for it which I enjoyed... I just didnt like the SEAT. I love the look of the interior on the Fabia and strangely the looks on it have grown massively On drive the deal with the spec I want its quoted me £15,500. I want, chrome alloys, metallic paint, climate control, arm rest, cruise control and bluetooth phone kit. Anyone else as mad as me and want one?
  24. Probably done it herself because you won't hump her. Attention whore.
