Booked my 05 Furby Vrs in for its 40K service and reported the seat cloth rubbing up yet again - on my 3rd cover so far since 01/03/2005. Garage said they would have to look at it before ordering a warranty replacement because it was unusual for this to happen!!!!. Maybe I am doing something wrong - like sitting on it when driving!!!. Going to report to Skoda CS too. I wonder if they accept the seat cloth is a problem yet. I love my Skodas this will be my 3rd, but this problem has put me right off, especially when the garage and Skoda pretend it does not happen. Guess it will be a different marque in september. What do you guys recommend - Grando Punto, focus/fiesta, Civic, Peugot............. :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

How many miles has your Fabia vRS covered?
Dazza replied to SkodaLover's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Bought 01/03/2005 - now 38,000 miles and going strong:D -
If you have one switch off your firewall, it is probably stopping the incoming traffic from the router firmware

Here we go again................... bobbling driver's seat base - been on the car a WHOLE 3 months this time - Thats 4 times now in 12 months. When will Skoda admit that the seat covers are CRAP. BTW - it is down to way I get into the seat. - doing it wrong I'm told!!!!!. Maybe the dealers should run a "getting in correctly" training course before you drive away.

vRS service, bickertons sheffield...
Dazza replied to sharkrider's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
I have used Bickertons for some 6 years now and agree they can get it wrong sometimes, but generally get it right, give good service. They have always washed the car after any work and vac it out if the work has been inside - nice touch I think. Bickertons do monitor this site so the message will get through I'm sure. -
32,000 miles in my first year!! around 51 MPG - probably 90% motorway at NSL+10/15

Tried to deal with DM Keith Leeds on a few occasions - hate them!!!! Offered me 2.5K for a 18 month old Oct Blueline with 60K on clock - got 8K from my dealer Told me variable service intervals damage the car and they set all their sales cars at fixed. All cars in showroom locked!! have to wait 30 mins or so the get the eye of a salesman to unlock. He then whines when you want to look at a different model. Generally feel that they are doing YOU A favour by talking to you I use Bickerton's in Sheffield - excellent at all times - dealt with them for over 5 years now

Welcome - I live in Leeds but work in Sheffield, probably see you around

Been with them from the start - iffy customer service at times - but not needed them, BB runs fine 23.44 for upto 2Mb - reduced price if full speed not available This brings me to a question for any BT engineers out there. The max speed on my line is said to be 512K by BT, but of the other 11 houses on my little estate (who's BT line are feed from a grate outside my house) are getting 1 & 2Mb. Spoke to BT cust services to say this ain't right and can I be re-tested or better still fixed and was told - ...NO. Does your voice calls work OK? - YES, then it is doing it's job - BYE. I have tried to reason with them, pleaded and argued but no go. Any suggestions how I can resolve this - Pipex will give me 2Mb if BT say OK.

Dazza replied to g7pkf's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004)
If your insurer is the big supermarket beginning with T**** then my son had a write off of an escort and he got a very good offer for the first time - like 20% more than Parkers etc said. Questioned them and got a further
