So back in the day job now, so a few little things prepped after work (for those that might still be following and who are mildly interested). It's all in the details, and will make sense when it's all together.

That loom is about as much use as a chocolate teapot, isn't correct for a Fabia. And to install cruise you need to take the dash panels down.

A few more updates, Crank bolt wasn’t giving up for love nor pleading. So it met Mr Cutoff tool. With that off finally flipped the engine over and whipped the sump off. Oil pick up pipe was very clear, a good sign on a 1.8T. Never the less... a new oil pump and pick up fitted. and flipped back up the other way the exhaust manifold bolted back up and the turbo checked over and temp fitted. Awaiting new bolts, gaskets and sealing washers for the oil and coolant lines.

And we are off....making things look pretty and hopefully non leaky.

They are the same up to 10MY when they changed to a fully fledged BCM. They have the same 6Q0, 6Q1 and 6Q2 variants though.

That is correct. I would look into the EGR fault myself, that can certainly cause a cutting out condition. Lambda probe issues are also common place.

Gearbox sensor of some sort. I am not that familiar with the auto gearbox to know without looking.

I find Pagid cables work perfectly fine. That said genuine ones were surprisingly reasonable. That said the VAG rear drums aren't the greatest. Best thing I did on my MPI was grab a disc rear beam and swap it over.

Not at all. I have VCDS and could read it. Any decent VAG Indie should at least have that if not dealer level equipment.

Is that fault code list after everything has been cleared down?

To access the Climatronic control unit you will need something specific, it is not an OBD system.

If you have a factory head unit, when you put it in reverse does it display on the head unit?
