  1. Slight change of plan for the moment. This engine will now be going elsewhere and the 2.0 will be staying where it is for a bit longer. I'm pretty excited about where it is going though and some new plans being hatched. Watch this space, or rather watch this space... Remember this old thing?
  2. And so here we are, just over a year later and things start to move again....there are plans afoot. The game is back on.
  3. I really wouldn't bother with a second hand one. What if it doesn't work? Can you be sure it's another faulty sensor, or will you change the pump. Might as well try Briskoda parts, link is my sig.
  4. Images should all be working now.

As above (and my sig), Briskoda has it's very own parts supplier.
  6. The pile of parts is getting less and less, engine is getting bigger and bigger.

Then the sensor was reactivated after it was programmed to fixed service schedule.

QG0 service interval is without oil monitoring. The sensor isn’t required as it’s not on long life. So the sensor is disconnected. QG1 long life servicing requires the oil sensor for oil monitoring so it’s connected. it depends on how it was set to fixed from variable. If it’s done by dealer equipment a step is added into the test plan on ODIS to reconnect the oil level sensor (or you set to QG2, extended with oil monitoring). if you do it with VCDS then you need to select it manually.
  9. Stalk will be right, but the loom is different for the Fabia compared to the others on that list.
  10. Ask them how when it only has one plug on it. That's a proper loom.
  11. And the engine bay wiring loom is part of the main vehicle harness on a MK2 Fabia. From the rear lights to the front fogs it is all one piece.

If the service interval has been set to fixed it turns the oil quality sensor off, it needs to be reactivated manually with diagnostics.
  13. So back in the day job now, so a few little things prepped after work (for those that might still be following and who are mildly interested). It's all in the details, and will make sense when it's all together.
  14. I've had my budget set for many years and it still works fine. Just go steady and keep threads lubed.
  15. That loom is about as much use as a chocolate teapot, isn't correct for a Fabia. And to install cruise you need to take the dash panels down.
  16. Very therapeutic indeed. Back to the day job tomorrow. Booooo.
  17. A few more updates, Crank bolt wasn’t giving up for love nor pleading. So it met Mr Cutoff tool. With that off finally flipped the engine over and whipped the sump off. Oil pick up pipe was very clear, a good sign on a 1.8T. Never the less... a new oil pump and pick up fitted. and flipped back up the other way the exhaust manifold bolted back up and the turbo checked over and temp fitted. Awaiting new bolts, gaskets and sealing washers for the oil and coolant lines.
  18. And we are off....making things look pretty and hopefully non leaky.
