  1. 250km/h = 155.343mph Most manufacturers aren't "too careful" about how exact the speed limiter setting is, as an example my previous Audi RS4 was supposedly limited to 155mph but many owners (on level stretches of unrestricted autobahns) saw GPS speeds of 168mph (speedo indicated 180mph).
  2. I was working for a sports car manufacturer when the 155 limit was introduced and can confirm that it was a "Gentleman's Agreement" between most German car manufacturers and the German Government - this was shortly after German reunification and there had been a dramatic increase in the number of high speed accidents on unrestricted stretches of autobahn (drivers from the former East Germany had no experience of cars approaching at nearly 200mph so pulled out in front of them going much slower causing massive accidents).
  3. The load space is taller in the estate, and the estate comes with roof rails which makes fitting a roof rack or roof box neater. I always used to buy hatchbacks but in 2003 bought my first estate and every car since then has been an estate.
  4. There's not a lot in common between a 2015 Fabia and an Octavia III - wrong forum! I know you feel the need for a rant, but it would be better having a rant in the forum where fellow Fabia owners will see it and possibly help you?|
  5. It would be better if you post this in the Fabia forum instead of the Octavia forum - maybe other Fabia owners have some useful suggestions to help fix the central locking problem?
  6. The option certainly appears with VCDS 20.4.1 If you have a genuine VCDS then the software update is free, just download and install the update from https://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/download/current.php
  7. Forums get charged for server space used, so picture size needs to be limited. Just use a tool like paint+ to compress the pictures - you'll be amazed how small it can make them while keeping the detail visible.
  8. Not 100% sure - I know that a MIB2 SD card will work in a MIB1 Amundsen (I have that at the moment), so it seems possible that a MIB2 Amundsen COULD recognise a MIB1 SD card BUT will the MIB2 maps fit onto a MIB1 SD card? Since OP probably has a MIB1 SD card it's probably worth downloading the MIB2 files from the Skoda update portal using his VIN and seeing if the card he has will work?
  9. Do you have sat nav? - No, it's a Bolero. - Yes, are the maps on an SD card? - - Yes, it's an Amundsen. - - No, it's a Columbus.
