Communication Errors aplenty!
Could be a flaky wheel speed sensor or ring causing intermittent gaps as all those are reliant on vehicle speed.

Sat nav card !
Are you aware that CarPlay needs to be enabled, and that the MIB2 and MIB2.5do not support wireless CarPlay? To get wireless CarPlay you have to use a USB adapter such as CPlay2Air (which is what I use).

Sat nav card !
Are you sure? I thought the Octavia 3 only went as far as a MIB2.5 and MIB3 only came in with the Octavia 4?

Sat nav card !
What infotainment system do you have, and does it have a NAV button? That card is for a MIB2 Amundsen and isn't suitable if you have a Columbus. Might be an idea to post the part number of your system.

Platinum Skoda - Bath.
Visited Platinum Skoda Bath yesterday after having an email "conversation" with a sales rep about a new 4x4 Karoq (i.e. Sportline 4x4 petrol) and arranging to visit for a look at their stock - only 2x4 so she suggested no test drive as "they drive differently". She seemed to have forgotten that we were visiting and did no more than unlock a 2x4 diesel and walk back to her desk. No sales patter, no description of the features/specs,... Very unimpressed, so much so that we decided our next new car would NOT be a Karoq. Platinum Bath are also Toyota dealers so we walked next door and spoke to a very helpful sales rep there (Chris) who found a just in 2025 RAV4 for us to test drive (unaccompanied), as a result of which we now have a 2026 Toyota RAV4 GR Sport on factory order. Platinum Toyota Bath - top marks, Platinum Skoda Bath - zero marks for a sales rep who really didn't seem to care.

Skoda Karoq 1.0Tsi 2018
The original advice from Skoda UK was 5 years which was totally different to the whole of the rest of the VAG "empire", so Skoda UK have no revised their advice to be in line with the rest. IIRC it's start to inspect at 120,000 miles and change when necessary.

'14 Skoda Octavia 1.4 TSI DSG breaks
When I read "1.4 TSI DSG breaks" I thought "that's unusual for a 1.4TSI to break it's DSG?" Then I read the post and realised that OP is referring to "brakes" not about breaking the DSG!!!

Poor perfomance Vents when A/C is enabled
I've lost count how any times I've posted that message in here. On a typical modern Skoda there can be over 30 different software controlled modules, all with their own software.

Smartlink/Android Auto Enable
An early 2016 Octavia will have a MIB1 which AFAIK cannot support CarPlay or AndroidAuto, later 2016 build have a MIB2 which can be patched.

the truth about electric cars
... until Musk aligned himself with the Orange Baby! My future stepson had a Tesla as his previous company car, when he first got it many passers by commented on his nice car but more recently a typical comment was "shame about the car".

the truth about electric cars
That's not the case with my future brother-in-law's Yaris Cross hybrid - if the 12V battery goes flat (which it has done several times if not used for a couple of weeks - he's been in hospital a lot recently) then it won't "start". He's become good friends with Toyota's home recovery people! He's taken it to his local Toyota dealer who say they've seen this problem a lot and the only advice they can give is to keep the 12V battery on a trickle charger! It sounds to me like the same problem that some early Octavia 4 HEV's had where the 12V is only charged from the ICE and not also from the HV battery, so repeated short trips just result in two dischcarged batteries?

DPF alarm when towing
Is that light ONLY for a DPF problem?

After market Towbar challenges?
The problem seems to be that Skoda have not released to dealers the information on software changes/settings needed when a towbar is fitted, even if the vehicle has factory towbar preparation. The effects can be stability control not working when a caravan is hitched, emergency braking happening when reversing with the caravan, etc. I'm looking at buying either a 4x4 Karoq or a Superb to tow a 1600kg caravan and have been advised in several posts on several sites (often by people I know and trust) to only get a vehicle with a factory fitted towbar - even if that means buying new and waiting.

Only one reversing light?
The lighting regulations only require one rear fog light to be fitted on the offside half (i.e. anywhere from the centre of the vehicle outwards) - Peugeot especially take advantage of this since it means they can fit a single rear fog light on the centre rear. Similarly the lighting regulations only require one reversing light. I had 2 Audi B6 Avants from different build years - the earlier build had 2 but the later build had only 1, presumably as a cost saving.
