  1. But unlike other manufacturers, it doesn’t lock the car when you walk away from it, which, in my view is, a bit ridiculous.
  2. C’mon.... You have to have your front fog and side lights on when you don’t have daytime lights; it’s the law.....🙄
  3. Interesting. Talking more about rarities.... So there are 227 Superb L&K 280’s licensed and on the road. Here However.... ..... there are 586 Ferrari 360 Modena licensed and another 425 on SORN! Here
  4. It’s not really designed for large areas but no, it’s not that expensive. Something like this should do it.
  5. Attacked the centre armrest today, as the squeaking and groaning was doing my head in. Unfortunately, I was only able to remove the bottom cover as I couldn’t work out how the top is removed (anyone know???). I covered the edges with Tesa electrical cloth and it’s made a big improvement, but I’m sure getting the top off and treating that would fully eliminate the noise.
  6. Welcome. Just to put your mind at rest; except for the very expensive 3M clear plastic paint protection films, nothing will protect a car from stone chips. Even these will not stop the really high speed flying stones! I presume your car is on a PCP? If so, all lease end cars have a standard they have to meet before they attract charges however, most dealers don’t worry about these if you take another vehicle with them. The problem with your photo is there is nothing to gain a size perspective, so what size are these blisters? Is the blister you’re referring to the lighter colour circles?
  7. Yeah, our CR170 (230 remapped) was candy white with black interior. The black leather was bloody awful. I got it with 23k and it already had slight cracking on the bolsters; by the time I sold it with 21k more miles over six years, the seats looked terrible; I had to fill them and dye them to make them presentable. Our 2006 PD140 Elegance with ivory/mushroom/beige interior and 123k miles still looks in better condition OK.. so I can’to sell the old girl as she’s worthless but I love driving her!). However... The leather in the 280 does seem to be better quality, albeit Pryke had kept the car in wonderful condition and that included the seating.
  8. Ahhhh, right. Is that what pops up after one clicks through on the selected quote? If so, that’s what I was referring to, Colin! 😁 I know I had to complete the same info on the LV site, as I changed the reg of the car after I’d got the quotation and that, inexplicably, caused the quote to increase by £40. Gven that, I had to call them to sort it out - they were very helpful.
  9. Go Compare doesn’t ask about ECU units/remaps. The only thing that changed my quote, was with upping the yearly mileage.
  10. You’ve added SWMBO on the car as an additional driver? Also, you‘ll get their compulsory excess paid back if you get it via a Gocompare quote - the price was the same as going direct so I got zero excess which was good. Yeah, that’s the anecdotal problem with LV; cheap year one, expensive year 2 but esure did the same to me this year, hence the change.
  11. Nah, they aren’t sycophants - they’d truly say what they thought.
  12. Try LV; I asked for a quote as a BS car, with a chip (looking at BMS) and remap (also looking at Revo) and there was no loading for either on the policy I’ve just taken.
  13. It’s odd as most people have a preconceived idea that it’ll look sh1te but are complimentary when they see it. In any event, I don’t give a toss about residuals as I don’t plan on moving it on.
  14. Yeah, they’re lovely but they’re a bloody nightmare to clean ‘em properly though!
  15. Well done! What did you pay for additional insurance?
  16. Well, I thought it was a lovely colour when I first saw it and I like it even more now. Fortunately, it’s nothing like the awful bronzes that Ford created back in the ‘70’s. Use Poorboys Black Hole sealant followed by their Natty Black Wax and that reflection goes deeeeeepppp!
  17. So it turned out it was the nozzles that were blocked; I needed a slightly thinner pin! God they’re sods to set up, aren’t they?
  18. Look nice. Better not get these “scuffed up” though!
  19. .... and according to your profile, apparently you have a Suberb III 😀
  20. Cheers matey. I’ll give that a whirl! 👍🏻
  21. Thanks. Do you have any idea where the join is located; in the cabin, tailgate or behind the panelling?
  22. I’ve done a site and google search and not found a tread on the issue. The rear hatch washer isn’t working; although I can hear the pump, nothing coming out of the nozzles. There isn’t liquid coming out from under the inner tailgate cover so the pipe may not have become disconnected. Anyone know if these prone to blockages and if so, what’s the best way to unblock them?
  23. Not sure about the wrap on the doors, but the quality of your CCTV is amazing!
  24. Understood and apologies. Right, but the nob driving the Merc and Diablo does. Found out yesterday from the neighbourhood watch team that he’s been reported to the police, including his name and address. Hopefully they’ll have a quiet word.
