  1. Thanks. I didn't know about this and it's only 45mins away. It's in my diary now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks for the replies. Just what I thought with the big ones. I'll have to look into going to Goodwood next year. I'll keep an eye out for anything local but all I have found so far I classic cars not that I am against classics but I know I would leave looking for a small convertible and a old range rover v8 engine! 3. Looking forward to seeing this. I checked on roofbox.co.uk and it seems the superb uses the same S44 whispbar roof bars as my octavia so you are welcome to use these and the roofbox (thule motion 800) for your hols if you like. Your Neighbour Paul.
  4. Thanks. I will hint for my birthday! There is a code on detailing world to get it for £100. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=207877 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Would you have any thoughts on this one for a beginner? http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing-machines/das-6-pro-dual-action-polisher/das-6-pro-dual-action-polisher/prod_673.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I think this is what you are looking for. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=183611 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Good value. Cheaper than the cheapest halfords square bars. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I just thought that the uk used to have one too like the old nec or earls court one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Hi Is there many good large motor shows in the uk? I went to the one at the nec years ago but it doesn't look like they have it now. Just a performance car show and a classic one. Goodwood looks good but I am on holiday when it is on. I'm not after anything specialist just all the car manufacturers with normal cars on show. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. 11 hours left could still be a bargain. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Can you not just dip the mitt in soapy water? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. This clay mitt from halfords has had good reviews and is half the price of others. They have 3 for 2 on there stuff too so could get some other goodies. That's my plan. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductMobileDisplay?catalogId=10151&storeId=10001&productId=1021399&categoryId=255233&langId=-1 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. A claying mitt might be an easier option? I have no experience but have been looking into things recently like yourself and heard they are easier to use and still get good results. Looking into things it seems I will have to change a few basic things for general washing. More clear bigger bucket to see if the water is getting dirty plus another bucket! Sheepskin wash mitt, micro fibre cloths too! I have just ordered a snow foam lance which I have never used before but if you like gadgets they do look cool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. That's the same as the wurth ats one with the re circulation button pressed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I used it the other week with no problems. The bacterial clean is just a can of this stuff released in your car though. Smell lasts a while though. http://www.wurth.co.uk/technical-chemicals/chemical-service-products/air-conditioning-service-products-coolius/super-quick-fresh-coconut-150ml Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. In fact roofbox.co.uk does also say the bars for the octavia are 85cm. The guy must have just measured the bar but the whole system has a range. http://www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel4_tab.php/car-specific-accessories/prorack_whispbar_85cm_aero_x_rail_bars_2_no_prs44/Qx%40w%2C6M4%2CME%7D%40nkCu5P5zqBAFA_XqZHa0numhJTz08bqr%2CU%40wb3dsVqHwJhAsjV4 But I accept no responsibility if they don't fit. I would of risked it though, well I did and it worked for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Strange he does say that but I wonder if he has measure the bar without the feet attachments. Roofbox.co.uk say the s44 is for the octavia estate and say the range of the bar is between 92-99cm. The S44 I brought from eBay fit on mine. If anyone is interested it might be worth asking him? 18. I managed to get a set of these from eBay for £53 but still had the eBay reminder on so I thought I would put it up here for somebody else to potentially get a bargain. Mine seem very good but I haven't fitted my roofbox yet. They get good reviews and you would be lucky to get them new for less than £140. Plus they look much better than the ones that over hang the roof rails! http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/281338671273?nav=SEARCH Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. It is. http://www.amazon.co.uk/local/Nottingham/B00K2RCJQE Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Had mine done at ats euro master for £33 2 weeks ago. That was a offer through amazon local but I don't know if it is still on. Should of been £55 I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Thanks again, after being pointed to the mkiv forum it is now all fixed. I had a broken cable going to the fan control module. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Thanks for your help. I'll ask in octy I or one of the other forums suggested. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Cheers, it has ran a while whilst I did some tests but still no fans moving. I think there is something telling it not to come on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Hi, sorry if this isnt in the best place I usually lurk in the octavia II section but I also have a vw 1.9tdi 130bhp as a run aound and I am having trouble with its AC. I'm hoping this is the same/similar enging to the fabia vrs and somebody can help me. The car was sold to me last year and i was told that the ac needed a gas top up, i had this done on friday after having it pressure tested but the ac still fails to work. the compressor is a sd7v16 and i could see that the clutch had not enaged as the end wasnt turning. The voltage going to the compressor is 9.25 volts (off load) with the aircon on or off. I have powered up the compressor seperately and i get nice ice cold air into the car so it shouldn't be the clutch/compressor. Also the fans at the front of the car do not turn and i think one should when the ac is on. i have tried to do some searching and found that people have had problems with a pressure switch or tempreature sensor but i don't know where they are located. Any advice what i should do next? If it was going to be the compressor i would of just left it and kept my window down as i dont want to spend to much money on it, £33 for gas was bad enough!
  25. This is the military discount price like a drive the deal or car wow price not a dealer rrp price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
