  1. It’s a common issue. ‘Ghost discharge’ Mine is going back in again as each time they run diagnostics, it doesn’t find a problem. Dec 2023 sel iv
  2. Wait until you try active cruise and you are doing 70 on the motorway and it sees a 10mph sign and rams on the breaks
  3. Sorry I can’t help with the repair issue, but would like to know more about the 12v issue as mine is going back AGAIN next week 12 x 12v errors since beginning of Feb. Had the car since December 2023 and they really don’t want me rejecting it.
  4. Ok, I will keep an eye on it. Thanks
  5. Morning. anyone else noticed a lower charge range over the last few days. Even in the coldest of weather’s the range on 100% would be 32 or more, but the last couple of days I am showing 26. seems very low
  6. Having had the car in at the garage last week to be told the 12v battery issue was fixed by an over the air update, they were wrong. even though I have had the car 14 months I am back to telling Skoda I am rejecting the car.
  7. It was an over the air update from about 2 weeks ago. They have not done any updates this week whilst they had the car
  8. Car went in yesterday. service guy seems to know what he is talking about (!!) called me yesterday and he said they think an update a week or so ago had something that has sorted it. (not had the error since 11/1) will be getting the car back today and hopefully won’t get the message again.
  9. My car is going in next week and is booked for the whole week. last year two flat batteries, and now 10 instances since 9/12 of the 12v battery warning.
  10. If i am doing short journeys i still to full ev, but if I am going on a run where I know I will run out of charge I start on hybrid. if i am doing a long run I often allow a few miles of charge left for the end, but also hate seeing the red line of no charge for 100 miles!!! my app shows i tylucallt avergae 95mpg over a month and so I am happy with that
  11. Car going in at the end of the month for a week so then can run some diagnostics.
  12. Yes, it is a common fault. had it twice earlier this year and both time took the car to the dealership. nothing could be done. now every few days I got the 12v battery warning. Car going in for service next week and I am going to ask them for a report of all faults. I have noticed that if I leave the keys in the house but too close to the car, the battery on the key fob keeps flashing so I am wondering if that drains the battery
  13. It happens on the Octavia phev. i am getting it all the time. it is a common fault
  14. I know there have been various threads about this previously, but today after owning the car for just over 10 months, I have asked the supplying dealer to start the process for me to reject the car. Earlier in the year i had cause to have the car towed once to the dealer (to ensure I got a loan car) and the second time i drove it. Since the end of May I had not had any issues until a few weeks ago, but now, almost every time I use the car I get the 12v issue. The first I know of it is when I try and communicate with the car via the app. Next, the car will only unlock by using the key. (Hands free does not work) When the car switches on, it takes about 2 minutes for the infotainment system to boot up. Other issues are that if the car has the 12v issue, I cant set the car to charge remotely (as it is set to start charging at midnight). I have explained that I don't want to go out every day hoping the car will start. Has anyone successfully managed to reject a car?
  15. Hi, had some issues earlier in the year, but nothing for four months. now most days I get a 12v error message. actually realised that if I look at the app and it has not updated for over 30 minutes it is likely I will have the issue. Can’t send a pre heat message or message to charge the car then when I go to the car I can’t use keyless entry. once I get in, I am getting a replace battery in key message. anyone else still having issues??
  16. I got it as a freebie as I had a complaint about speed sign recognition and pushed my luck. defo not with £179 in the uk. i use it about once a month in the winter
  17. Wait until you are doing 70 on the motorway and the traffic recognition sees a sign in the coned off roadworks area of 10mph - #ankerson
  18. I have just ordered a cheaper tariff. octopus was cheaper for overnight but 1p per kWh more daytime and two of us work from home. still not sure about setting the departure time as will that not use charge for no reason
  19. Glad I found this. only just realised I could use an ev rate but tied in to EDF until April, or pay £25. savings are not huge, if I stay with them I will pay £.05 more than octopus without the exit fee. granny charger as pointless spending £1k getting a wall socket fitted hope to go from a £3.50 per charge to less then £2
  20. Hi, I am looking at getting an EV tariff for home. The cheap times are midnight until 5am, so should get a good charge in, saving over £2 per charge. Only thing is, I do not have a dedicated charger (the savings do not warrant it), so I was wondering if there was a way to set the car charging at mighnight each night. Wpi Only way I have found is to create a plan, but that seems to require a departure time.
  21. I do a combination of long and short journeys (although not taken it to France yet) I regularly see a combined of 75-85mpg in a run to Leeds from London using all the hybrid mode, but then the battery it flat. you can save the battery by choosing to, so you could save the battery whilst you are driving in France and just use it once you are doing local trips or maybe a local petrol station has a charger that you can get to (many have in the last 12/24 months) I got my iv in December, and as a pre reg it was the same price as a 1.5 petrol which was what attached me to it good luck with your decision
  22. Was driving today from London to Birmingham. At certain points on my way, without any signs on the M1 changing, the car went from 70 to 50. on the way home, twice the speed went from 70 to 100. On the way there, the reduction was annoying, on the way back, it felt dangerous
  23. Good morning. since the weekend I have been having issues with radio reception. If it were a local issue I presume lots of people would be talking about it on Facebook, or the news so wondered if it is a software/hardware issue. any help would be appreciated
  24. I have been charging using 3 pin since I got the car as I can’t get my head around spending £6-800 that will only save an hour. i keep my charger plugged on the whole time as I can’t be bothered to keep getting it out of the boot. however I am about to write to Skoda as I have the parasitic battery drain and I don’t think it is acceptable so I am going to see if I can reject the car (5 months old, 3.5k miles)
