Just remembered this thread, as I collected my car today I can help. Just measured in the dark so please allow a bit of error margin. Distance between inner edges of roof rails is 990 mm approx. I hope that helps.

Last car was a 2005 9-5 Aero estate. I loved it but SWMBO didn't. Was effortless to drive comfy and big enough for the 4 of us plus all our gear. The only downside was it's appetite for Shell super unleaded when pressing on . It is one of the few cars that I have had that I really miss.. Oh and it was plenty quick enough when needed.

Just had an update from the dealer, car is arriving with them on Monday, collecting on Wednesday. Off to sign paperwork later today, getting excited now. Only 4 more sleeps

I use the Thule version similar to above to carry 4 bikes, not sure that you would fit a 5th on.

Just had an update from the dealer and my car is currently at Sheerness so looking hopeful for the end of the month :clap:

As an ex Caterham owner it made little difference in my 1.4 Supersport but it did make a difference in my Saab 9-5 Aero

My Car was supposedly built 2 weeks ago and has been sat at Emden for the last 10 days. Next update from dealer due on Monday

I took the plate off my car last Saturday, got the V5 and retention certificate by Wednesday

It amazes me that the dealers are not more pro active in engaging with their customers. I had a call 2 weeks ago to confirm the car is at Emden ready for shipping, I asked for some updated finance figures, not heard anything. I AM CHASING THEM?? Something is wrong here. The dealer was excellent up to the point I placed the order, they have gone off the boil since then. I hope it gets better when they hand the car over.
