I didn't want to ask but I'm glad you did. Surely on an Octy you only need 4? So that would be just over £100, anyway each to their own. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2

Can't give you a view of rear clusters as I have Dectane rear lights so I only needed to replace the front indicators. Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2

I would imagine they would appear much brighter and they switch on & off much quicker like the repeaters on the mirrors.
-
They come on I believe for the fact that the front of the car can swing round hence it warns you if you come close to something.

All my indicators are now LED and side/tail lights. I've got another similar bulb to try in the reversing lamps and DRL's that like the indicator bulbs draw a high current. Just got to get out to the car and try em!

No parking sensors working?
BIG Nick replied to mk2cliffy's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
A flashing light on the switch normally indicates a fault. If you can I would get the car hooked up to VCDS to check for any errors. -
I only had to buy 2 as the rear has aftermarket clusters.
-
You gone full lock left hold for 5 secs then full lock right and hold for 5 secs on the spot?
-
I maybe onto some that actual draw about 10w if they do the canbus will not whine like a little girl.
-
Correct, considering the car is in direct sunlight you can see it very well.

At last!! Found some indicator LED's that need no modification at all, no load resistors nothing! I get no warnings at all or rapid flashing. But you need to dig deep! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111085635993?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Car at SVAG show 2013 (photo whore)

Did you tint the headlights yourself? -
Hi all, My Octy no matter how I code it I get a warning about licence plate lamps when using "canbus friendly" LED's so I got fed up and decided to try a load resistor... Now I am reminded why I hate the damn things, when initially installed all was well, no warning and the lamps/LED's worked. Just been out to the car and unlocked all lights lit up apart from the licence plate lamps, took the load resistor out and still nothing. I couldn't find a fuse listed for the licence plate lamps anyone know of it on the FL? Cheers Nick

MDI and Bluetooth Retrofit
BIG Nick replied to BIG Nick's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Well after the mdi to glove box cable finally arriving as the seller took 3 attempts to send me it I now have a question. Is there supposed to be a receiving piece of trim for inside the glove box? Cheers Nick Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk 2 -
Hi all, I've read all the threads on this but this is a simple question and not necessarily Xenon related. Is there any differences between LHD & RHD headlights other than the beam pattern? If so if I'm not mistaken this can be adjusted anyway? My car's an FL. Cheers Nick

Fitting Isofix Seats For First Time
BIG Nick replied to gregoir's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I would go with yes as I have 2 isofix seats, Britax as well and they both have the options for the "over the back hook" but I have never used it. With the seats fixed in I can rock the car just by holding the seats. HTH Nick -
Finally found LED number plate lights that work
BIG Nick replied to xpower's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I have both and no matter what combination I use I cannot get the damn warning to go away. It's a 2009 FL. Cheers Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk 2 -
Finally found LED number plate lights that work
BIG Nick replied to xpower's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Ugh, I bought these and still I get a bulb warning even if I make the relevant changes to the coding in the Central Electrics. -
Maybe this would provide some further infromation? http://www.cars-equipment.com/www/en/shop/rear-view-cameras/oem-original-vw-tiguan-rear-view/ It appears handle cameras from VW will work with modification on a Yeti.

MDI and Bluetooth Retrofit
BIG Nick replied to BIG Nick's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
It wasn't too fiddly as I pulled the loom out to the side and did all the wiring within the passenger footwell then pushed it all back in. Okay so I understand the MDI controller that's cool, but with the BT controller, it just lays on the floor under the drivers seat? Cheers -
MDI and Bluetooth Retrofit
BIG Nick replied to BIG Nick's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Hi all, I actually combined the MDI and BT looms onto the original quadlock connector. Worked out well, out of interest where is the factory location of the two controllers? Cheers Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk 2 -
Oops. Wrong thread sorry Ed. Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk 2

Hi all, Been having a busy week doing some retro fitting. Out of interest where is the factory location of each controller? I know from factory the MDI interface is located in glove box. I ask as the Bluetooth controller is a big mother. Cheers Nick Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk 2

MDI and Bluetooth Retrofit
BIG Nick replied to BIG Nick's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I thought this might be the case. If I've got both leads are they fairly easy to combine into one? Rewiring and soldering is something I'm good at
