Hello all, Another question from me Got a Columbus on order along with MDI and bluetooth integration. Looking at the pics and instructions for these retrofits it would appear both daisy chain on the quad lock connector for the Headunit. Is this so? So I would have 3 sets of Quadlock connectors? I've done a search and can only find retrofits of one or the other not both. Thanks in advance Nick

Most of them all relate to "Special vehicle" ie a Taxi or Police car. Looks like your car has these checked in the gateway and various other controllers. What's the cars history?

Central Electrics Controller (1K0937087)
BIG Nick replied to BIG Nick's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Yeah I think the controller is faulty when it comes to external lighting so on Tuesday it will be replaced and factory coded, so I'll have some coding to do Tuesday afternoon. -

You should have switched (ignition) fuses that you could attach to in the fusebox as well. Just move your cable from permanent live to switched. -
Mine didn't appear straight away as I forgot I did it. I changed the adaption Tuesday night and didn't drive the car until Wednesday evening and because I left the cruise switch on I spotted it as my mileage had disappeared.

mystery pipe vrs cr 2010 fl
BIG Nick replied to dowding's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Does it go to your airbox? If so it's a resonator pipe and sits there in mid air -
Hi all, I've seen some chatter on this not working for most, I selected the adaption yesterday and promptly forgot about it... It worky Also after a number of ignition cycles it's still there. The dashes are the set speed when the cruise is set.

Maybe you could me? On the navi side of things, I can see the maps are Navteq which is good even more so since TomTom bought them out. Does the Columbus have TTS and TMC? Thanks -

Preferably connected via mdi. Showing albums etc. Thanks Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk 2 -
Hi all, So thanks to Eddie-NL I now have Maxidot Since having this there is obviously things available to you that without Maxidot are only available via VCDS. The 1 option that has never worked on my Octy FL is rain closing and the Maxidot reveals maybe why it doesn't work. All is coded correctly on the Central Electrics controller and the RLS. Please see the following link (video) as to why. Cheers Nick

Irritating Gear Shift Indicator Light !
BIG Nick replied to pz1811's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I have to say I've known so many people getting so wound up about something so small. I drive sprinter vans on the weekends and they have got em in I pay not attention to it what so ever, also driven Golf's with it and not bothered me, if it was speaking to you saying "Shift up now" I could understand it -
Apologies if this is already known but map updates appear to be free from Navteq. http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/Navteq-NavteqEurope-Site/en_GB/-/GBP/View-Promo?Page=Skoda-Landing-Page-Main&NewLocaleID=en_GB&NewDomainName=Navteq-NavteqEurope-Site&cwt=application/ApplicationFrame_campaign_light I can't test/confirm as I run Pioneer hence why I spotted this.

Can you just not update from Navteq's website for free? http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/WFS/Navteq-NavteqEurope-Site/en_GB/-/GBP/View-Promo?&cwt=application/ApplicationFrame_campaign_light&&Page=Skoda-Landing-Page-MIB-Amundsen&&NewDomainName=Navteq-NavteqEurope-Site& Nick

Then you "might" be in luck. I have just ordered a kit to add front sensors to my Octy FL, I already have rear sensors so the loom I will not use. If I were you I'd have the sensor out so you can get to the connector, then locate the controller which is behind the left hand boot lining. Then carry out basic continuity tests.

A/C or climate is listed as HVAC. As for your parking sensors, check the measuring blocks on the controller and see what's available. Might be you can measure each sensor. Sent from my GT-I9500 using Tapatalk 2

Hello all, I need to replace my central electrics controller due to various issues, I can source a brand new controller for around £70 but it's the coding of the new controller. Now with VCDS which I have I can recode every byte apart from 18 which controls the external lighting etc. So is there any other way than using VAS at a dealers to code a new controller as per the configuration when the car left the factory? Cheers Nick
