  1. Jeez Louise, talk about OVERREACTION and SCAREMONGERING, Just drive it and as has been said top it up at least every 10 litres usage for 6 to 8 times and you will be perfectly okay.
  2. Welcome to Briskoda both of you
  3. Dont you think that your comments regarding diesel's are somewhat excessive and derogatory.
  4. When you heading up here, i live on topmost edge of North Yorkshire (Cleveland) and we just had 4-5 inches of snow overnight and the skies are still pure white and looking ready to drop more of the damn stuff. Be careful out there mate.
  5. WOW!!!! very impressed with your video, SWMBO is sat here saying " are they cheaper than winter wheels n tyres" an i am now trying to explain the pluses of "winter tyres" over "snowsocks". This could take a while!!!!!!!
  6. Welcome to Briskoda, am sure you will enjoy Fabia VRS its a briliant car.
  7. Like i said Pagey its all fine now, had 2 threads running bout it when it occurred but the repairers were fantastic, cannot even tell it been damaged, had it inspected by independent engineer after work done and he was very impressed, also took it into my Skoda dealers and they checked it out and said "they cannot tell its been in an accident". So am well happy, but hope the pics show the sensor positions ok , zoom in on the square on rear end one.
  8. Not best piccy of car but defo can see position of factory fitted sensors, dont worry about car condition , brilliant rebuild by Just Car Clinics in Hartlepool. Sensors go just below angle line of rear bumper. http://s957.photobucket.com/albums/ae51/Philip_Povey/new%20car/
  9. My FL vRS takes a while to warm up but i just go out of house 5 mins early ,start car, stand have ciggie while screen demists get in drive off. Simples!!!!! my Fiat stilo estate was just the same n that was a 1.9 TDi CR. People want everything instantly, well guess what "it aint gonna happen" have patience and give yourself (and your car) more time in the winter.
  10. welcome back to Briskoda, and if you put winter tyres on the vrs you should be okay.

  12. Welcome to the wonderful world of Skoda
  13. I do believe if you check the 2 videos that they were taken on the same day as the Blue (driven carelessly) car that crashed is still in position on the left of the end of the bus video.
  14. Yippee!!!!!!!! It is raining in Redcar, the snow is running (literally) away. Thank goodness for that, at least i wont get sideswiped or rammed by some dozy sod driving like a numpty. Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. A1 A19 n A66 North of Middlesbrough keep getting blocked by accidents and snow so best of luck with your trip Pixor
  16. WELL DONE SIR !!!!!!!!!!!. I have continued to clear the path outside my property, as you say the snow there now is NOT compacted and therefore easy to move.
  17. The Bolero can show time. When you have it on Radio if you press the "extras" button you then get the choice of "scan" or "info" if you press "info" it shows information on the radio station and then switches to the time, may even show temperature. It will switch between the "time" screen and the "info" screen.
  18. Cheers Studmuffin, i have seen that one just would prefer a more OEM looking unit if possible. Although apparently this unit is very good and i am tempted.
