What is this light ?
It's a shame the online manual is so trash, difficult to find what you need I find. Glad you got it sorted out 😉

Windows 11
@AnnoyingPentium that sucks that it wasn't the usual smooth upgrade experience. I did have to install Windows 11 x3 due to one program being a swine, that wasn't fun, felt like groundhog Day.

I need Bolero Update :-)
I would worry about the update myself, and won't add any new features I would say.

What is this light ?
Online manual is poor to say the least. Best guess I can come up with is interior lights on/off with door opening?

Pencil behind dashboard!
Did you mean that for @Steviedakota?

Mystery Update?
New one will be 0304 or 0306 then when it lands It's also hefty at around 4.3GB for the full package. Maybe OTA will be smaller as it might download only new modules.

Mystery Update?
You should try to locate your Software Train value, this is firmware that is loaded (unless you had a map update) It might be a value like this shown on screen, hold down Menu/Setup key for 10s or so and look around in menu MOI3_EU_SKMQB_P30200P = 0302 version

VCDS Module 5F Fault 1556 Internal Control Module Memory Check Sum Error
Not an indicator in my book. Bad memory is more than a likely, best to just keep using until it keels over one day.

Manoeuvre braking, Park Assist, Front Assist all disabled
Thanks to @Jakester and @IndeedFox for coming back to update the thread, anyone else having the issue will know of a cure for the problem. 🤝

A/C vs AUTO - What's the difference?
You must be one of the lizard people 🤣 Jokes aside, I mean more from a cold feel. 0C in UK damp weather feels worse than -20C in drier climates to some people (I think I'd die mind you at those temps.

Update wanted for Bolero

Dashboard Dials Dark
A full channel map would be good for instruments, odds are that is where the coding lives.

Dashboard Dials Dark
I am sure you can code it to come on with Terminal 15 iirc, so they run all the time. Do you have access to VCDS and can make channel maps. If you don't have a software tool, I don't think you can set it in the car otherwise.

Dashboard Dials Dark
It dims down to remind you to turn on your lights early, as the dash becomes harder to read, turn them on. You might be able to code with VCDS or similar to have the dash lit regardless of ambient. I prefer the reminder myself, though I have always turned on lights early myself for additional safety.

MIB 565035874
Unsure then what to say, maybe check all adaption channels and make small adjustments to microphone sensitivity if you can.
-
MIB 565035874
You might need a firmware update to it? Usually you can hold down your Menu/Setup key for 10 seconds or less and you will enter the engineering menu and be able to read out the Software Train version This could rule out if there is a possible firmware you could update to (might fix issue)

A/C vs AUTO - What's the difference?
Yup on a hot day, with AC off and auto on the car will push the fan speeds up and try to direct more towards the face/body. It will never make you feel cool, like putting your face into an oven because there is no active cooling. On a cold day the heated air will pass through the AC radiator and suck the excess moisture from the air (as it does in Summer) the Windows will be clear from misting, and also dryer air feels better to our skin also. On a cooler day as mentioned the drying effect stops the car misting up, and we feel more comfortable with less humidity in the air. Cold and high humidity feels awful, and it can be colder with less humidity and feel better as damp air wicks away body temperature. Run your A/C 24/7 365. It will keep you feeling better, keep moisture out of car and smells (mould loves damp, hates the dry) Also, the A/C doesn't operate all the time, it turns on and off, as needed, so doesn't suck engine power as much in the Winter. So any perceived fuel saving won't really be felt too much. Also, having had a car where I turned off A/C for month's at a time, I killed the compressor (forgot to operate it at least once a month)
