  1. Thankfully the part quoted earlier by @UrbanPanzer is a shade under £50. A change in design and it's £240 for an Octavia 😤 and possibly made by the same manufacturer!
  2. Have you pulled the relay to confirm that 4H0 951 253 A is printed on it somewhere? Dealers are about £25 if all the searches get confusing (as parts catalogs list pages of compatibile)
  3. You need "Developer" mode enabling on your unit You will need to bring up 5F entertainment and login with security access (VCDS will assist, could be S12345) Then you can enter Adaptations and find Developer (has something like this in the name) and change it's status to enabled. Save and exit. Ignition off and on just to be sure Enter your normal hidden engineering menu on your system, and this time when you see 'Software Updates' & 'HMI Codes' keep holding menu button a bit longer and you will see the new menu show
  4. They do come up for sale upon here from time to time, just the other day someone mentioned they are moving away from VAG brand, and will have one for sale. Recommend you get HEX-NET V2 or whatever they call the new one that can talk to the UDS modules. More than likely you may find you may have replaced both sensors for nought, always take any error codes with a pinch of salt.
  5. I am going to prepare a few pages for you to look upon.
  6. An update, as I had some spare caps, I did try to apply some heat and no they don't shine up at all (wrong plastic) like the stadium seats do.
  7. varooom replied to Simon D's topic in Skoda Yeti
100% true, you never want to buy an eBay one or such to find out the hard way with all your oil empty the plug you brought doesn't fit.
  8. Welcome, Did you have the saved log file you can share here? If you have access to VCDS, what are you reading for pressure values with engine off/on? So do they seem plausable values is what I mean.
  9. That is from the SSP document (training material) for Octavia II, and having skimmed the document there is no difference and they simply lump in all in that weight range. The picture/data tables from old catalogs like @langers2k just posted will give you more better comparisons, but still the caveat applies of specification will change the values. I shall check other documents and see if there is any listed differences.
  10. Too many variables to answer this accurately, there are "typical" weights but they again can vary depending on chose specifications Glass is heavy too, along with changes to other parts of the car that add up, wiring looms and extra control modules all factor in. The empty weight range is quite large, and has the caveat 1) listed underneath the picture
  11. AFAIK it should be just plug and pray play. Not sure about your warrantly, cannot see how it would effect it really (time to read the very small fine print)
  12. The official way involves equipment you don't have, so given your bad back, might be an idea to send it off to be sorted. They absolutely must clean that system out for you, so hopefully a garage you have some trust with, and take in the old part or image to show them issue. Best of luck
  13. Perhaps you need to roast your nuts 😁 Not suggesting this would work, but @Redditchboy maybe if you are careful you can apply a little heat to see if that can rejuvinate the old caps as you have ordered a new set.
  14. I think the CTEK range is what is commonly used to maintain batteries.
  15. It would appear he has ordered up a new Varta battery already
  16. Sorry missed your post, Relay 645 in position R5 (this is important!) has part number 4H0 951 253 A and is available at dealers to purchase and fit yourself for just under £25 inc VAT. Maybe you have already sorted it by now, also try using the part number above to search, as might be available elsewhere cheaper.
  17. erWin Skoda but this costs money, but the simple advice I give is to walk into Skoda dealers, they will often print out your PR Code list for free.
  18. Engine ID AMF BNM BNV some value like this in your car registration document, it's also printed on engine block where it meets gearbox.
  19. Do you have an engine code for the car?
  20. Sorry I am not sure of the cause, need to establish why the car has no communications now. Too many possibilities I'm afraid for me to say.
  21. Has anything happened in the last 4-5 months? Working fine until just a few days back?
  22. Oh my brain, forgive me. Bonnet reports as open, was it? And I read your car as having massive Comms issue's with lots of systems. Dash needs to communicate to Engine and pass immobiliser data. Have you got access to a better VCDS version?
  23. I have been experimenting on my own car for @dhandley but even on USB my phone is not even supported. Even without USB, this is what my phone has to say about Android Auto... Wireless support seems to be 2021+
  24. It says the video is 6 year's old? You had this fault for 6 year's?
  25. Independent garages should be able to sort it they have ODIS software and GeKo access, check around locally and compare prices.
