  1. Press Yes, as it needs a workshop code and country code written in VCDS. You can change the default to a value you read from other systems, 210, 34598 foe a random example.
  2. Good luck with that leak then, squeeze some more life out of the car.
  3. Someone at VAG needs to take responsibility for this really. How can factory release documents (maintenance) that state it's distance based, age has no bearing. Then along comes the importer (or maybe dealer's!) and say that distance is not important, but age is for the belt. They are either covering their backsides, but maybe one thing is obvious... the factory 210,000 km will take most "average" drivers 10 years (at a rough 20,000km a year) to reach. Now they state 5 years, so giving them more money. If they know something we don't or it seems the factory, then they need to show evidence, not just some fuel for the rumour mills.
  4. Welcome, I was also a lurker for many years 😆 let's hope the car works well for you, but if not then many people here to help if not.
  5. It's been done by lots of people to update the infotainment firmware, and quite the simple process. Do you have image of what you have? Depending on your system, you will need to hold down your Menu/Setup button for 10 seconds to enter the engineering menu, and locate a page with Software Train. Post up a picture of your system if you cannot locate this value.
  6. I will send you an update to 0369 version You can also optionally update your maps from "1810" to "2010" version here
  7. SW Train MHI2_ER_SKG11_K3343 MU 1433 Is available for you, and I will send via PM
  8. Try updating with SD Card, not USB.
  9. Wow, we can breath oxygen once more! Glad it got it working in the end for you 🤝
  10. It's already "crashed" to emergency mode, so yes engine off and head inside
  11. Don't copy from Kingston, as you may just copy corruption, did you keep original file I sent?
  12. Yes I can send along now a firmware
  13. You need to check the media for any bad sectors, or use another media if you have a spare. Then try to put the data on there again from the download.
  14. @pab567 This is a hardware fault question by looks of it? Or they need to try different media perhaps.
  15. Remember to use the @pab567 tag format as he will not see the post always.
  16. Yup know that one myself, I have ODIS so used that to (eventually) find it in there. Handy for others to know the cut off date of where it does go wrong in diagnostic with older VCDS.
  17. I have looked at the factory maintenance yet again, and it is 210,000km unless in a dust rich Country. The lowest I have seen in those climate conditions is 120,000km, or a car with Bi-Turbo. I even checked equivalent engine in VW and get same values. Seems importers make up own rules, or dealers also.
  18. That is a valid engine code for them, should have SCR system on yours right?
  19. Honestly mine is a different firmware to yours, and no big testing was needed, it asked to connect to diagnostic equipment to check, but I cancelled. So I cannot answer how long it will be, can you show image?? It's SEAT, but same process for Skoda
  20. I can send you 0480 yes now via PM.
  21. AFAIK there's no update to firmware, and not sure about navigation sadly.
  22. I deal mainly in software/firmware for the units. For hardware swap infomation you are going to want to address Pab567 directly for your question. Your current firmware should be able to update to 0480, and have andoid auto/apple carplay built in afaik, just activation is done by release codes.
  23. You are correct the official update is to 0369, but to change to 04xx version there's a chance to break things, personally I would stick to the official update path.
