Anyone actually happy with their MK4? 😂
Thank you, I also have a rattling glove box and glad to hear it's not just me!

KPH/MPH
To go from 1688 to 1896 did you have to have the head unit replaced? Or was it just a software update? Thank you.

Anyone actually happy with their MK4? 😂
Thanks. I also learned this week that on the manual clima screen you can push the auto button and select whether you want the blowers to be low/med/high! By setting it low this has resolved my issue of the HVAC being super noisy all the time.

What's the single button you refer to turn A/C on or off? I also tend to leave the fan on low as Auto mode gets a bit loud and blowy in the summer months. Thanks.

At long last... SW Version 1896
Thanks, I'm still on 1668 (original hardware) so I'll call the garage I think.

At long last... SW Version 1896
Does the 1896 update allow you to switch the satnav to MPH or the virtual cockpit speedometer to KPH? Thanks.

At long last... SW Version 1896
Does anyone know if it's possible to go from 1668 to 1896? I'm just curious if it's worth me calling the garage. Thanks!

Do you feel mis sold on your mk4
I recently raised the rear courtesy light with my garage and they replaced it. Since then no more ghostly activity!

Great on the motorway…
I let the ACC do this sometimes but only when I'm travelling at 30mph and only when I see the visual clue that it's "seen" the car in front of me. Sometimes it moans and puts the brake warning up and sometimes it handles it ok. As you say it's of limited use with the manual gear box as you need to engage the clutch and change down at some point anyway so why not control the brake at the same time?

Great on the motorway…
I leave it on the default of Normal for every day driving which is usually 30mph and short journeys (one less button press as well!). I used to have an Octavia MK2 VRS TDI with a heavy engine and heavy steering so I find the Sport more comfortable when making small adjustments on the motorway. I don't use the Economy mode at all as the car gets great economy by default, I'm not even sure what that would do?!

Great on the motorway…
I find my SEL FE 1.5 manual good on the motorway too. The engine is great in 6th gear with ACC enabled and can manage itself between 45mph and 70mph without the need to change gear. I tend to set it to Sport mode though which firms up the steering making it less twitchy and easier to keep it in the lane.

Adaptive Cruise Control bug
Thanks for keeping us all informed about software updates. I was going to phone and get mine updated to the latest this month (all the usual issues) but I think I'll hold on and wait until April.

Key Battery Dead...Already?
What type of batteries do the fobs take? Mine gave me a warning the other day and it sounds like I'd better be proactive about it.

Rear interior lights slowly getting brighter then dimmer
Thanks for posting this, I thought I was going mad as the rear lights would randomly be on at the end of a journey. Another thing to add to my list to call the garage about!

KPH/MPH
I hope this works for you and if it does, is that a sign that the fix is now generally available? If it is I'll be calling up my garage to get the fix done too.

Dashcam Cable
Hi All, I went for an Amazon cable called "Duttek USB C to Mini USB Cable, Mini USB to Right Angle USB C Cable, Right Angled USB 3.1 Type C Male to Mini USB Male Converter Cable Cord for Digital Camera and More Mini USB Devices 0.26M/10INCH" - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B075M4CQHZ And I used it to fit my Nextbase camera as shown in the pictures. It tucks in nicely behind the rear view mirror and is fairly central below the lane assist camera. Hope this helps, Mark

Brake Discs and Wheel Bearings
Did the Kangarooing fix work?

Brake Discs and Wheel Bearings
I'd be interested to hear if you ever get the 1st to 2nd kangarooing resolved. I'm not aware of any fix yet

KPH/MPH
Looking forward to hearing others have the fix installed and working. Then I'll make the call to the dealer, as I'm assuming they're not going to chase me! Thanks to everyone who has put in the hard work to force Skoda to create these fixes.

1.0 e-Tec Fuel Economy
I've also been very impressed with my 1.5 TSI manual which can achieve averages of 60mpg when driving at 50mph on the motorway (there's an average speed limit for most of this journey with a mile either side of 30mph roads). ATC is active for a lot of this but it shows just how much economy you can get from the engine. Other shorter or faster journeys are usually in the 45/55 mpg range.

What software version are you running? Unfortunately this didn't work for me this evening and I'm running 1688.

Also, on this topic (kind of) does anyone know what the picture choice does in the virtual dashboard?
