Google maps directions displayed on Virtual Dash
That's legendary - I've always ignored that choice in the virtual dash but now I will be using it! I can't believe we have to find this stuff out by chance though, it would be nice to have it properly documented.

Skoda 1.5 TSI ACT
Yes, the dealership took the car in overnight to test it the following morning. However, they claimed they couldn't recreate the problem. They did update the software but that didn't resolve this issue. If it's more pronounced over winter then I'll try again.

Skoda 1.5 TSI ACT
I've just been away on holiday fully loaded with roof box, luggage and family and the 1.5 manual has performed well, switching into eco mode seamlessly and then back again when the power is needed. It does kangaroo in 1st gear when cold though. By the time I change to second gear it stops and never returns. I'm not looking forward to winter though as I'm wondering if the kangaroo will persist for longer as the engine is slower to warm up. We shall see!

1.5 TSI clutch feeling…
I had my 1.5 TSI Hatchback from 4000 miles and driven it now up to just over 5000. I've not noticed a change in the clutch during this time and the clutch has always felt "normal". I've found the brakes slightly spongy and noisy but the clutch has worked as expected. Sorry this doesn't help you much!

Software
You can single press for Skoda voice assistant and long press for Android voice assistant - just in case anyone hadn't stumbled across this.

Brake pedal feel - 1.5 manual
Yup, I find my brake pedal a bit spongy (and noisy on release) on my 1.5 manual but I've gotten used to it (I think). I assumed it was necessary for the ACC and auto braking as that causes the pedal to move?

Weird clicking/popping sound O4, vRS Estate Petrol DSG
I heard a similar sound today (for the first time) followed with an Error SOS message on the virtual cockpit. The sound was short like yours and the error message only lasted a few seconds and then went away. It sounded like it came from near the SOS button. I'll keep an ear out to see if it happens again.

Contact import
In your bluetooth settings, make sure you have "Contact Sharing" enabled, perhaps this could be the reason?

KPH/MPH
Mine is going in next Thursday for the dealer/garage to investigate slight kangarooing on a 1.5 TSI when cold. The service department mentioned on the phone that there was a "campaign" open against the car and it would have a software update performed when it was with them. My system information currently shows: Device part number: 5E3035816, Hardware: H56, Software: 1668, DU/CPH: H44, DU/CPS: 2088, ND: 21.1, MC: 3.1.4 so I'll report back on what changes (if any) occur! Constant creaking and rattling from Boot
Well, this fixed it! With the seat down there was no noise. My next step was to wrap some duct tape around the metal loop that the seat clasps onto. This has cured the rattling and also saved me from going quite mad. Thanks for the tip @Cawdy1972!

Constant creaking and rattling from Boot
That was going to be my next area of investigation. I'll give this a go!

Constant creaking and rattling from Boot
Hi @eevrs, did you find out what the rattle was? Mine's started doing this and the noise is coming from near the rear seat on the driver's side. I've greased the boot catches (and I even did a drive with it removed on that side!) so I know it's not that. I'll try laying the seats down to see if that stops it. Thanks if you have any pointers.

Goodby screen text
Did you get the car to recognise this change? I also changed my nickname but the car still doesn't want to display the new value. I've reset the infotainment and also logged on as Guest and then back as me.

Octavia IV Lane assist How to turn it off
You can disable it quickly using the driver assistance button on the right hand side of the steering wheel and then push the rolling switch (also on the right hand side). You can do this when driving if you forget before you start.

SW version on reporting bugs
That's funny as mine was reporting this on the weekend: DU/CPH: H44 DU/CPS: 2088 But has also just switched to "Unknown" in the last few days. It's not causing any issues so I'll keep an eye on it to see if the real versions return in the future. Mark

KPH/MPH
Thanks @fox2319 and @Ajdude for the list of things to watch for; mine is an ex demo/fleet with 4k miles on the clock so probably not a reject. I'll make sure to log the small issues I have now just in case they turn into something bigger in the future.

Why are people still ordering Octavia IVs?
Similar experience to @DManel, picked up the car (SEL FE Hatch 1.5 TSI) last week as an upgrade from a Mk II Octavia VRS TDI Estate. So far very happy with the car and very impressed with it. It does have the KPH/MPH issue but being in the UK, and using Android Auto, I can hold on and wait for the fix. It does jump a little on the first acceleration off the drive but once in second gear it's fine and doesn't do it again. I may request a check for any ECU upgrades at the next service. No other major issue to report and crossing my fingers it stays that way!

Constant creaking and rattling from Boot
Awesome, thanks @GarHefDub, that's fantastic!

KPH/MPH
Hi everyone, I purchased a second hand Mk IV SEL FE 2020 last week and so far I'm very happy with it. I stumbled across this post and I can confirm I have the same issue but it's not a major problem for me as I use Android Auto. My system information shows: Device part number: 5E3035816 Hardware: H56 Software: 1668 DU/CPH: H44 DU/CPS: 2088 ND: 21.1 MC: 3.1.4 I'm wondering if anyone has summarised all the issues so far with the Mk IV so that I can keep an eye out for them? Also, how do I work out the week it was manufactured in? One thing I do notice is the first acceleration off the drive is a little bit jumpy but once the car is in second gear it's fine and doesn't happen again. Thanks, Mark

Constant creaking and rattling from Boot
Hi everyone, Please can you let me know specifically where you greased the two boot catches @GarHefDub? Did you grease the ones on the car body or the ones on the boot itself? And where exactly did you put the grease? Thanks very much! Mark
