  1. For an extra 10 or 25 hp dependant on the model, it's not worth the hassle of changing.
  2. I don't think it looks to bad. Waiting to see what power trains go in the new model. Hoping for a decent hp output from a petrol vrs. If they do something along the lines of the golf r - 4x4 290 vrs then the current vrs petrol I have will be put in for one. Can't see it as skoda appears to be the poor relation in the vw group. But, as with everything there's always hope. Anyway, Englands just scored!!
  3. I got a mk 1 sill from tps about 18 months ago. Somewhere around £110+vat I think.
  4. The valet on my new vrs was abysmal - polish left in various places on the bodywork, dust and fluff on the dashboard, windows streaky. Everything else from the dealer was fantastic. I bought another vrs for the missus a few months ago, same dealer, and that wasn't up to much either. Shame but that's how it obviously goes
  5. Yes, very emotive subject getting rid of a landy. It does get easier as time goes on especially if you have a vrs!!
  6. Well I would of thought any red octavia vrs looks the same as any other one. It's already covered in chaff after being in the field next to the combine
  7. Ordered mine the first week in may and it has been sitting in the dealership for the last 3 weeks.
  8. Silbury skoda, Cramlington, south East Northumberland.
  9. Picked my 66 plate red vrs 4x4 tdi up at lunchtime and is now sitting on the drive basking in the sunshine. Dealer was saying the amount of new cars leaving the showroom today is down compared to previous years. He also said he has sold roughly the same amount if octavia vrs 4x4's as normal 2wd ones.
  10. Ordered mine the first week in may and taking delivery on Thursday
  11. My red octavia vrs 4x4 in the showroom, all nicely polished ready to drive out the door on Thursday lunchtime
  12. Yeah and there wasn't any of them either!!! Breadline taxis
  13. Woody77, up n down Ocean Road on Saturday night after 12!!!!!!
  14. It's been around 8 months since the octavia 3 was binned due to dmf/gearbox issues so I can't really remember about room in the back. Don't remember getting many knees in my back when I had a full load. Not many superb 3s on in my patch yet- happy with my mk2 but I do have a tendency to change cars on a whim so you never know!!!
  15. Yeah I'm running a superb elegance dsg estate on a 62 plate at the minute . Acres or room in the back. Octavia has a good amount also, had a 13 plate before I got current car.
  16. Quite a few vrs facelifts on as taxis in Newcastle and the surrounding areas. A few black, white and race blue ones kicking around
  17. Any ideas why the vrs 4x4 dsg is being dropped. Still waiting for mine to arrive !!
  18. I did once buy an octavia 4x4 turbo that was ex Strathclyde Police - SF03HNG, it was Caledonian blue. No holes drilled in the usual places and was a very clean car. They git rid of it at 40k. Speaking to the police workshop manager one day when requesting the vehicle history, he said the officers thought it was a fantastic car.
  19. Northumbria has not long taken delivery of an unmarked gray octavia vrs estate tsi. Only give away is the anpr camera mounted on the rear o/s of the roof.
  20. Knocking 7 colours of #### out of the A1 at the metrocentre and Leeming bar.
