Strange noises from turbo

possible slight boost leak (most likely one of the older pipe joints) -
Skoda overcomplicates things again...
ricardo_smooth replied to devonutopia's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
vRS mirrors all have the smaller connection. Choc block connector points to a repair job imo... could be wrong though but can't see that being the standard fitting from the factory -
Winter Alloys & Winter Tyres
ricardo_smooth replied to steveo1's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
to be fair, the sidewall load rating can be lower on winter tyres.....well unless you are planning on some high speed getaway driving in the snow! -

undo 2 torx underneath, pop the glass off and remove the torx behind there too and it'll come off -

Removing Door Card With a Shut Door?
ricardo_smooth replied to P20's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
You can't do it without wrecking the door card I'm afraid! -
I had similar negative experiences when enquiring about a part from him (small item) and he boasted to me about 'selling to ebay tits at double the price they would pay from the dealers'. He told me he looks how much they are new and adds a premium on because people don't look how much they are new. My advice is check skodaparts.co.uk for bits, or buy from anyone but him!

Cheap-o fault code reader, any good?
ricardo_smooth replied to Lee Rich's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
I have that exact one and its as good as any other for basic fault code reading/clearing. Worth the money imo -
new coolant bottle will sort our problem. it's the sensor that is up the spout! Will get worse, especially when it gets cold. New one is only about £14 from eurocarparts and is easy to fit (you oly lose the coolant in the bottle if ou do it right)

Exactly have just said, usually a firm belt with your fist/hand is enough
