Thanks for the opinions, for me right now the options are: Kamei Corvara 310 vs. Thule Pacific 500 I'm a bit worried how a 2.30m box will look on top of the Yeti...

Hi, As we all know, SM's boot isn't exactly LARGE, so I decided to purchase a roofbox as well (actually went for a ski carrier, but somehow the salesman managed to convince me (darn salesmen!) that the roofbox is much practical solution, better for MPG, better for the skies in long journeys, doubles the storage space, etc...). So I'm going for the long narrow ones as usable for ski carrier also. Can some of you guys that are using one share some opinion which fits better (look-wise), MPG increase, noise, etc? I have a choice of Thule, Kamei and Hapro here. sebast

Yes, not too sturdy but I think this is a good thing since it won't damage them over time. You can try it with a jacket or something similar. -

As promised, here are the close-ups of the fabric: They're worth more than 4000 words @ 90000: if you really are going to be in Sofia this weekend, we can arrange a test sample -

As my knowledge in the tailoring area are very limited, I doubt that I will be of much help here... Even if can find the name of the fabric in Bulgarian, translation in English will be mission impossible What I can tell you now is that it's gray and soft, but sturdy ))) I'll make a closeup photo later, it'll worth more that 1000 words -
My 1.8 TSi Ambition had no bonnet insulation fitted when I got it, I had to order it afterward. + 1

After long, long hours of hard labor (not really, just can up with the idea & made it), may I present you solution № 1: pic.1: the cover, with the velcro pieces (just the ones with hooks): pic.2: strapped on the folded seats, just to have idea for the size: pic.3: the seats raised: nothing can be seen: pic.4: middle seat folder, boot covered pic.5: a view form the boot: pic.6: final view, with nets. The pattern & texture of the piece is the same as the raised edge of the raised boot floor: And the total bill is: <5 GBP I can give dimensions if someone is interested. One good thing is that the velcro straps do not stick hard to the back of the seats as it won't damage them over time. When I'm not using it (i.e. when carrying skis inside), I just roll it and put it in the net under the parcel shelf, or stick it on the back of one of the seats. The blue bottle is Skoda winter screenwash (always carry extra bottle as on wet & dirty conditions I use a LOT of it (specially for boot window) pic.7: bonus pic with no flash you can see the effect of replaced boot light (with one from superskoda). Second one will be fitted on later stage to get rid of shadows Next thing I'll be doing will be the missing carpet mat on the wheel arches, from the same material. Just haven't figured out what is the best way to fix the textile pieces to the plastic. BR, Boyan

My triangle is placed between the spare wheel and the bumper, no holding straps but fits securely. Can some with straps post an image of them?

I have find the following info for you, hope it helps: Horn parts Horn removal Mind that there is quite a lot work involved. If you need the schematics regarding the involved steps, I can try to find it also. BR, Boyan

Greetings from Sofia, just added my pin I hope it's not a ridiculous location to some of you

Had my windscreen replaced also, they had it on stock so it was a 2 day job - the drying time is something like 19 hours.

Excellent work with the trim! I have put the Invisibility one and the Eject one also )

Marry Christmas to everyone!

Maybe it was the summer additive? Skoda also has such one, it's better for removing insect residues than the winter one (but of course no anti freeze properties).

From my point of view, of course :giggle:

As you can see, even in a top-spec car these carpet pieces are missing now: (comparing with Tiguan's all-carpeted boot) I wonder how much they have saved by not supplying these...

Well my ice scraper is huge... No chances for the glovebox And regarding the Tata contraption - that's why I'm not driving a Tata
-
I guess you're right, I'm not looking on it from that perspective. I just hate the ice that builds on the bumper, and prevents the boot from opening. And if the scraper is in the trunk, you have to get it by folding the backseats... Personal experience
