Climatronic clicking noise
woodyallen replied to onmeheadson's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Well mine is back from the dealer, the noise is less but still there. But at least by going in its highlighted the recall for the coil packs. -

I didn't think you could tweak it with VCDS? I've scanned mine and don't get any errors. I've also done the self system reset, but the clicking is still there. The car is under warranty so thought I'd just stick it into the garage, no doubt they'll fob me off with some rubbish reason. -

A bit of a thread revival, but I've got my car booked in tomorrow to try and get this fixed....it's driving me bonkers! -
Totenham riots - isolated incident or indicitive event?
woodyallen replied to lol-lol's topic in The Roadside Hotel
So much for the 'It's the Government's fault I don't have a job or any money so I have to riot' argument. Would you want this guy teaching your kids? http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2011/08/10/london-riots-teacher-31-pleads-guilty-to-looting-as-court-cases-start-115875-23334652/ -

Nah, this mounted in the back of a Mercedes Sprinter would have done the trick! -

I think he meant why are people not choosing the £650 or less option in the poll.

Nicky, I dread to think what you are like during the run up to Christmas!

It's quite scary that this dealer's 'Techie' can't carry out a simple action that your average VCDS armed Briskodian can. I wonder what else he can't do when you trust him to service/maintain/repair your pride & joy!

xbox 360; connection to external HD
woodyallen replied to 2SkodaFamily's topic in The Technology Shed
Sorry 2skoda, I didn’t see your last post until just now. My films are backups from my DVD collection, saves the discs getting trashed. However, I’ve recently connected my Windows 7 computer to my xbox wirelessly, much easier when converting from my DVDs, I don’t have to unplug the drive from the xbox to put the films on it anymore, I just rip them straight onto the HD. -
You'd need to get your car scanned by VCDS to determine which revision of CAN gateway you have, anything pre K version will cause the issues that Broady has mentioned. As yours is an 06 model I'm pretty sure you'd have a pre K gateway.

I’ve no experience with any HTC unit so I’m not going to pass comment, as I have no grounds on which to base my opinion. My iphone was my first smartphone, I can’t live without it. As for the restrictions, a quick 10 minute jailbreak on the computer can sort that out. I did mine within a week of owning it, best thing for it.

Green sides, white base and top. I just don't get carbon wrapping. -
Except the Tsi is supposed to be running approx 210 bhp stock.

It's a smaller, lighter car, so I guess that helps. Doesn't mean I want one though, never been a fan of the Astra.
