  1. Hi all I keep looking at alloy wheels for my vrs!! (DRIVING WIFE MAD) My 19yr old son took his 18" RS8 wheels off his bora and put the 16" stand alloys back on last weekend then went out. ( I was servicing the vrs) while he was gone I took them and fitted them to my VRS. He came back and caught me half way though putting them on!! lol. Anyway fitted them took car for a spin. straight away, harder ride, noisey, didnt drive nice for me. (my sons bora tdi 130 highline)my vrs so thought would re-furb the 16" spiders. been quoted £40 per wheel plus vat ( acid bath, powder coated etc ) which I didnt think was a bad price. or find some 17" spiders some where!! Was at work today a lad I know has offered me some 17"leon cupra alloys, so tried one on the front What I would like to know is what you all think!! lol he wants £200 for them, 2 need tyres, and could do with a re-furb or stuck to the spiders !! lol
  2. mine also does the same, my sons does also. dont worry about it. unless your losing water lol
  3. The mrs to take the skoda!!! I can take the bmw e30 happy days

  5. I fitted this one on my vrs. item number 230594327420 (from the same guy as well)sure paid about £50. well worth the money. its a ali tube, 2nd air pipe also fits onto inlet. most of others are £150 upwards. you also get the noise you are looking for!!!! lol
  6. I bought it from these ID 2fast2cool2 on e-bay !!! fits under the front wing. was very cheap so thought will try !! every body else was £150 plus. think paid £50 I think its works a treat. my son paid £180 for his, mine looks just the same and sound the same. his is a carbone, mine god knows pmsl
  7. I have just bought a compbrake off e-bay £45 posted!! works fine, have a induction kit fitted you do get the noise you are looking for!!lol
  8. best thing to do is take battery off and fully charge it!! you will need a good set of jump leads to start the engine. or leave you mate leads on with his engine on fast idle. let his engine charge your battery for at least 10 mins. perhaps it might start then with his leads
  9. Hi I work for a motor factors, Vrs & rs are the same car. we do not sell the vrs spring. the vrs has a sports suspension and are lower than a standard octavia. I would be suprised if andrew page did!! my vrs estate has standard suspension look at my blog
  10. I have just fitted a compbrake dv valve!!! seems ok, on e-bay at moment £44.50 posted!!
  11. just fitted front mud flaps on my vrs. bought from dealer about £12.00. 10 min job fitted like a glove
  12. Hi I had a company vauxhall astra. That had a noise like a wheelbearing sound. car went to garage , they said nothing wrong with bearing. TO cut along story short!! turned out to be tyres!!! when even swoping to back would not sort problem out!! when tyres were replaced, car was quiet!! My vrs has had some cheap tyres fitted by garage before I bought it! there not noisy but in the wet put foot down just over powers traction control and spin!! lol
  13. Hi M8 you can buy a resistor from skoda. I believe you unplug the air bag, plug resistor in. leave unplugged.. airbag light will stay off! think you do have to plug vagcom in also to do something! Skoda parts will tell you. skoda can do it cost about £70 for them to do!!
  14. Hi mate keep the wrc for sure. I Have just sold a realy nice volvo v70 with all the toys on her!! for a skoda vrs estate. the volvo v70 was nice to drive, but boy!!! the vrs. cant wait for the weekend and get her out. lol ( have firms van to go to work in) just touch the thottle and my god if flys, Can see me getting 3 points soon lol. perhaps should have kept oldboys volvo never sped in that!!!! lol the skoda is the best car I have owned so far, (had a few cars !! 33 I think over the years) Its bad enough to find a nice low milage vrs estate, but finding a wrc will be like finding rockin house ****. enough said lol.
  15. Hi we sell to the trade and never had a warranty claim for a solid flywheel that has been fitted causing damage, saying that we deal with a fair few suppliers who slag them off!! The daul mass is like a shock absorber, it takes away the vibration from the engine, what most suppliers say "taking the daul mass away!, the vibration has to go some where, so goes through the drive train etc" mind you saying that most who slag them off, dont sell them anyway!! lol The only thing if you have fitted a solid flywheel is the clutch!! If it need replacing, you can only fit the the same make as the solid flywheel other dont fit!! we also sell alot of daul mass flywheels, not the best thing in the world! I would go for it and have the solid flywheel. ps I would say that 80 to 90% of solid flywheel sales are to taxi drivers!!! ask some and see what they say!! hope this helps
  16.
