You use the radio station channel select buttons, but with no display on the HU it is a bit of a stab in the dark as to what you get. The advance and return buttons allow you to forward or reverse tracks one at a time. I tend to use my Ipod on shuffle most of the time.

I have one of these installed. Works well and sound quality is as good as the limitations of the head unit. Downside is that it has limted means to select tracks and artists, this is best done via the Ipod itself. Allow some time for the install as it's all pretty tight for space. I would suggest dropping the glove box to do the job.

Stick with the Fabia. The Mk3 Golf is aguably the worst Golf of all time. I have owned two including a GTI and felt no love for either of them. The Fabia is in a different league in my opinion.

A quick question - does the vRS have front brake pad wear sensors? A part number would be good if anyone has it to hand?

I would say that is top dollar. There seem to be quite a few SE's on the market. I agree with waiting for the right one to come along, It took me well over 6 months to find the right car. I paid much less than the asking price for the one at the link for mine 18 months ago when it had less than 40K on the clock with FSH. Patience is key

The cheapest things to try first. Disconnect the battery for a short period and then reconnect = free Replace the battery in your key fob = Less than £1
