Do your 312mm fronts fit under the standard 16" wheels OK? Saw a guide to fitting 312's mentioned in another forum but can't locate it. Could anyone point me in the right direction please?

Did you find the problem or just lived with it? Wouldn't be so bad if we could just switch the unit off and on but has to be ignition with ours :(

My wife's 08 plate Octavia has an annoying issue. This happens once in a blue moon but is damn annoying. Radio CD (with additional 6CD unit) works fine for vast majority of the time but every so often it's playing happily (radio or cd) and sound goes completely. Change discs, radio channel etc but no joy - Head unit appears to work but no sound. Turn it off and on, no difference. Stop the car, ignition off then back on and sound restored. Went to the dealer when still under warranty and they could find no issue. Didn't do it again for months then same again - again nothing could be found. Did it again yesterday towards the end of a long journey! Had no ICE for 90 mins till we reached some traffic lights and I could switch off and on again. Anyone else come across this? Radio doesn't have a name on it but is the standard equip on an 08 plate Ambient Combi! Cheers

Oh yes Paired it to my son's Nexus 7 tablet and looks the dogs danglies! Only had time to check fault codes (none thankfully) and also the basic set up (rpm, throttle %, etc) but downloded the track plug in and so will have a better play this weekend to try the plugins and also configure the data logger / display. As far as the seimens ecu goes, if it's OBDII capable then it should work (or so I'm told)

Ah OK - I thought the bluetooth device had to be apple approved to work. There are OBDII readers coming up in the i-tunes store but nowhere near as good looking as the torque app

Just bought a bluetooth OBDII reader to use with the Torque app but this only works with android (Iphones don't like bluetooth do they). Only arrived last night so will try it this evening. Some mates have had good results on their Audi's so hoping for similar things with the Fabia

I've have found similar. When I bought my vRS, I used Tesco diesel. At that time £30 would last 2 weeks and give me approx 220 miles mainly local mileage. Put some BP Ultimate diesel in after a while and for two days it chucked out loads of black smoke when accelerating but this stopped after that time and has been Ok ever since. Noted that I got 250 miles so then put Shell diesel in (not V-Power) - £30 gave me 275 miles on similar driving. Since then I have only used Shell / BP diesel with every 4th lot being Ultimate or V-Power.

I assume the SE's being 2007 will have the BLT engine ? Mine has a stutter around 1800 - 2000 rpm but only started doing it recently (car 96k miles, I've owned it for approx 18 months) Could this be a sign the EGR vlave is mucked up? Only run it on branded shell / BP diesel with every 4th tank being Ultimate or V-Power.

What would you list as "recommended minor improvements"?

Had the throttle pedal unit changed today by Specialist Cars Skoda in Dundee and can report it's sorted the issue - back to smooth tickover and smooth gear changes. Happy days!

Just searching the forums and found this thread. Mine has the same issue (07 Plate Fabia vRS SE). Sometimes drops back on it's own other times not. Found if I put my toe under the throttle pedal and lift it, the revs drop back immediately. Could this be a throttle pot issue? Any ideas would be most welcome.

Drove my Mrs to her work tonight - Snowing heavily again in N. E. Fife. Cupar is an absolute nightmare!! Main street is worse than some of the back roads. Have to say the Fabia with it's winter boots is impressing the hell out of me Didn't get stuck even though it was quite bad in places. Thankfully not deep snow though. Sky looks full of it though :(

I can understand the delays in that area - we're a week behind deliveries into us at work. Even Grangemouth docks was shut for three days - containers we needed were apparently frozen in position and could not be lifted!!!! Madness! They should have communicated better with you though.
