  1. yes, assuming you have standard wheels on or have fitted aftermarkets that take the same wheel bolts. There are some aftermarket wheels which have a different taper.
  2. Is the spare the same size as the normal wheels? If so, take the sticker off and drive normally just being aware that the spare may be brand new, (not in your case as you've used it), if it's not the same size you are limited to 85kph. The weight of the steel wheel as opposed to the alloy makes no difference to the handling in normal driving.
  3. Even if your new car has 17" wheels the 16" wheel will be fine for a spare as the rolling circumference is the same, but you will be limited to 50mph when on as it is not the same size as the other 3.
  4. I think 16" steels will be a lot easier to source than 17", you will get a more comfortable ride if you spec the tyres to have the same circumference as the 17".
  5. But you probably saved more than that by having it serviced elsewhere. Swings and roundabouts and you knew the service had been done properly by someone you trust..
  6. Thanks to everybody for their help. My man came back today and I now have rear lights on with the drls and the dash lights which suits me fine.
  7. Ordered Wed, arrived today. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A860S-BOSCH-AEROTWIN-PAIR-Front-Wiper-Blades-600mm-475mm-24-19-OE-spec/312641802983?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
  8. Thank you, I've passed both options on to my man.
  9. I have no problem with that adaption if the rear lights come on with the DRLs
  10. If he did, he didn't tell me , so I haven't got either.
  11. I had someone round to do this on my Citigo and my Octavia. The Citigo was no problem but he couldn't find the options in VCDS to do the Octavia. Can anyone provide the coding required?
  12. I've always bought my Bosch wipers on Ebay, they have always come in the correct packaging and worked as they should.
  13. Try Ebay BOSCH A860S, £18 upwards.
  14. Spoke to LV, they stated that cover will continue regardless of whether the trip is deemed essential or non essential by the police. He made a point of giving his name, time of call and the fact that the call was recorded.
  15. Exactly, that's why I'm asking.
  16. https://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/news/local-news/car-insurance-driving-during-lockdown-19246083 https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/uk-news/car-insurance-could-invalid-you-19243516 and many more.
  17. There has been a lot of publicity re insurance not being valid if you are using your car for what is deemed to be non essential use. LV's website seems to indicate that claims can be made as usual but there is no mention of this particular point. Has anybody actually contacted their insurer on this?
  18. Take the headlight bulb out and then warm up the headlight glass with a hair dryer. Be careful, don't get it too hot as the glass is plastic. This should disperse the condensation. You can also blow hot air in through the bulb hole. Run some silicon round the seal between the glass and the headlight body, make sure everything is dry, though. I hope it's the offside headlight, the nearside is a nightmare.
  19. If it's standard rear suspension, beam axle, like the Fabia, I know it's a doddle. If it's multilink, I've no idea.
  20. Mine has as well, steel.
  21. As per @J.R. I would say your rear springs are knackered. Take your tools out and check the measurements. Is there any signs of it having been used for towing? What's the mileage?
  22. The backend looks low compared to mine. My dimensions from floor to arch are 68.5 cm rear, 68.2 front. Have you got any weight in the back?
  23. Did you not just untick the summer time box in set up?
