  1. What's the normal statement 'this tread is useless without pictures' Although from a personal perspective, no pictures for me, especially if it involves teeth and dentists, recovering the crown though won't be a problem but I don't really want to know.
  2. Ok I'm with Joe here. I know this is off topic but I just don't get the joke :(
  3. And definitely should not be confused with a 1M.
  4. I think Paul007 has got it right. Just need Johnno92 to come along and confirm it. How you find these things i do not know :(
  5. True, but I think it will still fit the rear. So, if you were to have a puncture on the front, you could put the spare on the rear and then move the wheel you have just taken off the rear to the front. A bit of a faff I know, but at least you can still get away with your 16. Not sure what the difference will be in the rolling circumference but avoids the gunk and gets you a cheap spare if it will work
  6. Yep, have the same issue, but only on the nearside one. The one on the off side seems to retract just fine. I'm guessing that is the simple solution, but for a brand new car I am a little disappointed.
  7. For any apple device with the lightning connector you will need the 30 pin adapter as a VAG cable does not yet exist. There is also some concern that 3rd party adapters may not work with ios 7 but I can not confirm this. Don't know if the cables are £20 anymore. The octavia brochure lists them as £50, even the dealer had a shock when he saw that.
  8. despite this modern world we live in, you would not believe just how poor the 3G service is in my area. On the other hand, work cant get hold of me either
  9. I can't believe this thread is going to make it to a third day
  10. Yep, that is one fugly motor car. I thought I knew what it was but obviously I didn't. I wouldn't have forgotten something that hideous
  11. Definitely Mr Ben And as if by magic, the shopkeeper appeared.
  12. Thats no good, it is a remake and certainly not the original
  13. Also need; Ivor the Engine (with Jones the steam) Rhubarb and Custard Magic Roundabout
  14. I'm pretty sure I know what this is but can not identify it at the moment, so I will have a guess at a Toyota MR2
  15. Thats good to know that the official adapter works, I have heard that third party ones may not. That will also be good, but the price for them is extortionate. I noticed in the Octy brochure that the Matsumi adapter (I presume there is one for USB as well as the Appple 30 pin) is £50! The dealer when I picked up the Octy urged move to remove my existing cable if I hadn't already which I had.
  16. Bloody broadband is down at home so no chance of getting a post in now :(
  17. Try this, it works for me; http://www.volkswagen.de/de/models/golf_7/brochure/senderlogos.html
  18. So I have had my new VRS Tdi (manual) for a week now and covered almost 600 miles, so what do I think. To start, it is very comfortable - I haven't done a long trip but my journey to work each day takes an hour for the 50 miles I need to drive, I certainly feel fine when I arrive at work in the morning and get home in the evening. I didn't go for the full leather, just left the seats as standard with the red stitching. However as I wanted the heated screen (had them previously in Ford's and was one thing I missed with other manufacturers) I now have heated seats. I always thought these were a bit of a joke, however I have used them twice so far and I am really loving them, especially as they also warm your lower back. It rides well on the 18's and the 'sports suspension' is not harsh. The car itself is very spacious which was one of the reasons for buying the Octy. I spend most weekends travelling for hockey matches with my 14 year old son, and when mum comes to he ends up in the back of the car which in the Furby did not give him a lot of space. Job done, he can almost hold a party back there without even disturbing us. Performance - what can I say, it is a new car and I am trying to be gentle, but boy it does fly when you want it to. My previous car was a Furby VRS so I was used to some reasonable performance and this diesel is certainly on a par. Maybe not as quick on paper, but certainly not noticeable in reality. ACC and Lane Assist - Now I appreciate the purists will say you shouldn't even be using such things, but I really like it. some have concerns that people will become sloppy with its use, personally I feel I am more alert to everything that is going on around me. Certainly far better than conventional cruise control. The only issue I have had with it was when a leaf partially obscured the sensor whilst driving which caused it to shut down. The Bolero is a nice unit, especially with DAB, and thanks to another Biskodian posting about the radio logos I have managed to upload those that I wanted to the head unit. Sound is adequate for me but may not be acceptable to others. I have had my Blackvue re installed and I believe it was a very straightforward job. SorryI can't tell anyone much more about this as it was done by my local audio specialist who has done a great job concealing the instal. The other reason for the Octy was the Diesel engine. Economy to date has been pretty good averaging around 50 mpg so far. It is almost paying for itself in reduced fuel costs over the Furby which is great. I may even get some pictures posted, but it is starting to look a little dirty now with all of this nice weather we are having Octy VRS tdi manual in white Black pack Sunset glass ACC Mitsumi Spare wheel (space saver :( ) Colour maxi dot Winter pack
  19. Ah, the Goldfinger brace of yellow motors. Didn't the CitiGo also replace a yellow Fabia VRS?
  20. I know, I haven't posted x number of days for ages
