  1. Welcome to the 1.4 L&K club, had mine for 7 months now and love it!
  2. Wash and vacuum? My main dealer has done this once in the 4 services I've had on my Yetis! Certainly not on the last 3
  3. Oh yes, that would be silly, I think blue tyres should only ever be fitted in pairs. Now, would I fit one each side or both on one side? ;) :D
  4. Is it really that important what colour the lights are? Surely the important thing is that they are lit up at all. I have to say I have never noticed what colour my lights are and would be slightly worried if it bothered me! :hi:
  5. With some contributors perhaps a set of stocks would be more appropriate with a basket of rotten fruit within easy reach. ;)
  6. No, just our Graham being our Graham! Bless him :notme:
  7. Ah, maybe not, but at least you could raise yourself up to the first click on the adjustment Okay, I'll shut up now.
  8. Continuing with my handy hints, how about sitting on a cushion? :notme:
  9. Easy fix.....put them in your pocket :notme:
  10. Now that is asking for trouble Graham!
  11. Does 'reminding you of two stroke motorbike' mean it revs like one, smokes like one or both? :giggle:
  12. I'm on my second Yeti with the leather seats and I'm afraid this does happen with the squab. I think the subject was covered some years ago and it was put down to the leather stretching under the weight of the sitter! I reckon the same will happen to any replacement, but wait to be proved wrong
  13. Meadens, the dealer where I picked up mine in the New Forest, have 27 nearly new ones for sale! http://www.meadens.co.uk/
  14. Fifty years and none yet, but that's more due to good fortune than anything else. I suppose this may well enter the category 'famous last words'!
  15. Dip beam pattern has always had the 'kick up' on the left (on RHD vehicles). Designed, I assume, to light up the left hand road edges. When I did MOTs many years ago this line had to be correctly aligned when checking beam settings.
  16. You get this on the L&K with the self park doings. Haven't been brave enough to try it yet!
  17. Hopefully I'll get mine fixed next week. Glad it's a known problem!
  18. Never had this on last Yeti or this one. What I do get is the wiper intermittently stopping at various angles only to carry on to the next random position after a few seconds. If I wait long enough it will eventually park. Going in next week to hopefully get fixed.
  19. Same here Fred, she was always asking "what's the temperature outside"? "what's the time"? Luckily, on the Amundson2 you get both on the screen! We travel in silence now
  20. I imagine the City version probably didn't sell in the numbers expected with most preferring the more 'butch' model. We looked at the Suzuki models before going for our current Yeti and although very good value for money, the quality of the interior in particular was a bit disappointing. We had the previous model SX4 prior to our first Yeti and it was a decent enough car.

    Coasting

When working as a mechanic more years ago than I care to remember I went on a test drive in a customers Wartburg Knight and hurtled into a corner expecting a little engine braking but no, nothing..............heart in mouth and a great laxative

    Luggage nets

Hi Graham, Completely off topic but we skirted Llianidloes on Saturday morning on our long journey home after spending a week in Harlech. I have to say that although we had ordinary rain for the majority of the route the rain experienced when passing your home town was of biblical proportions. The strange thing is this only happened when passing and went back to 'ordinary' rain soon after. Do you have web feet?
  24. Changing the tensioner would make no difference as it's the chain stretching that causes the rattle.
  25. Don't mention rear wipers! On my recently acquired L&K the rear wiper has the habit of stopping around halfway through it's wipe, after a few seconds it returns to the park position. This happens when working in conjunction with the front wipers (occasional wipe) or when rear wash is activated. A few guys on the 'other' forum are also having this problem and one of the members is collecting a list of owners so Skoda can be tackled on it.
