  1. As above. I have an 07 Octavia, just need to know where I can find the convenience unit so I can get the number of it to get a new one. Cheers
  2. Contact the person who posted above you for the whole process. Also found out I have a problem with my convenience unit, which will have to wait as they are bloody expensive
  3. Got this all fixed now. With a fantastic new key as below, yes it might not be original Skoda but what I wanted. Also found out my other key was dead so a new one of them two. Great now being able to open the car up again.
  4. Just wonder if anyone can help with the right code for all doors open My 07 Octavia does not have maxidot by the way, I want all does to open on one press not just the drivers, is this the right place to do it below. Selective Unlocking: [select] [46 - Cent. Conv.] (35 - Cent. Locking for manual window cars) [Recode - 07] Write down the existing coding for future reference. Enter 5-digit code from below [Do It!] Look at the existing Soft. Coding. If you have selective unlocking (press the unlock button on the remote once to open the driver's door, twice to open all the doors) the last digit of your coding should be an even number. To make all doors unlock, add 1 to the coding. So if the car is coded for selective unlocking (00064) add one to make it 00065 so that all doors unlock with one press of the unlock button.
  5. I've noticed and could be a coincidence that my DPF lights come on more when the old girl wants a oil change. After changing the oil it won't come on very often as prior to the oil change. I do alot of miles in mine and it hates short journeys about once a month with a lumpy tick over but soon sorted after some 10minutes at 60 in 5th. I did have a dodgy sensor about 18months ago and it made my car go into limp mode with DPF and Engine light on.
  6. Thanks guys. But can't do that as only one key. Looks like a trip to the garage.
  7. MaZvRSTSI My manual says that, but what does it actually mean. I have pressed any button on the remote, nothing. I have held down the lock and unlock button for over one minute, nothing. I have held down the lock and unlock button for over one minute with the key in the ignition and the ignition on, nothing Help?????
  8. As above, my central locking won't work with my fob. I have changed the battery, tried to hold the unlock button down whilst ignition on 1. Its the only key I have which is a pain. I have searched here and goggle and can't find a definitive answer So simple questions 1) Is there a simple way to reset the key if so what is it? 2) Do I need to get to a dealer to reset?
  9. Need to change the front on my 07 VRS. After taking a look, its undo hub/shaft nut, brakes off etc, then shaft out and undo 4 bolts bearing off and replace. But what are the torque settings for the bolts that hold the hub/bearing on and also the hub nut. Thanks in advance
  10. I would suspect the exhaust pressure sensor as suggest above
  11. If there was air getting in or out of the brakes system, you would know about it with a spongy peddle and eventually no brakes at all. Brakes will be hard when ignition is off. If you have to pump them when driving to get a decent peddle and brake effect then you have got a leak somewhere
  12. Did you reset the indicator before you set off?
  13. I think you can get away with a 9.5 on the back, run a little stretch and you'll be quids in. http://www.willtheyfit.com/ Might help
  14. Can anyone help me with some part numbers. All for 07, VRS, Diesel, Engine code 1z3. I need them for Oil Filter Air Filter Pollen Filter
  15. They should be 35. So lower than the skoda but not by much should be fine
  16. Good point. There's always a bit left in no matter how well you drain a car. 5 litres on order it is. I've got a 1L top up I carry all the time anyway, so any issue I can top up and get a new one if needed. Cheers All
  17. Yeah that's what I thought. I think it needs just over 5 but can't find the right number anywhere
  18. My search skills have failed me. Simple one, how much oil do I need for my 07 VRS, PD170
  19. As Mannyo says, its probably the pressure sensor. Exactly the same happened to be last xmas. Car would not regen, the exhaust pressure sensor had gone. All sorted atthe time, after a new sensor and orced regen from Skoda
  20. Heat gun and autoglym tar remover to get rid of an let over sticky
