Should have added feels like more play when changing gear now

For a start the clutch has done 150k and recently stalled on me a few times. so that's being changed out soon plus a new DMF. The actual gear change could be better. Used to renew bushes on VWs back in the day

Are there any known high mileage gear linkage bushes that wear out ?

Spoke to the mechanic, he changes out the DMF as matter of course, so good news

Due to the miles ( 146k ) I’ve booked it in for a new clutch as I want to keep the car for a while

I think mines putting out 14 volts + now

Is there an expected lifespan (mileage) for the Dual mass flywheels. I realise highly dependant on useage. Does it pay to change them out if doing a clutch change.

Cheers my clutch just doesn’t feel right. At 145k could be clutch wear/ gearbox bush mount wear/ flywheel issue

I'm only guessing but if a main lower engine / gearbox bush, is fitted, are they known for high mileage wear ?

I was still quite pleased with the performance of my VRs diesel. I’ve recently had some ABS sensor work done and at the same time my mechanic flagged up a faulty Alternator only putting out 12v etc. Since replacing it im getting full voltage to the engine management system which has noticeably improved engine performance. Maybe the mapping was out ?

Ive noticed recently my VRs has stalled pulling away. Apart from poor clutch control the actual clutch (@145k) is showing signs of age/wear. Although it’s not slipping at the moment could this cause stalling ?

What is the average cost of a new clutch these days ?

Had exactly same issue. Two rear ABS sensors faulty. Both replaced. Also faulty alternator replaced although not sure if connected.

Ive replaced two on mine now. Don’t seem to last very long

Finally sorted. Two new ABS sensors plus a new alternator to. Probably the first real bill I’ve had apart from normal servicing at 145k so can’t complain

Got the mechanics feedback today. Although two ABS ( speed) sensors showing faulty the issue might be with u/s alternator putting out only 12v. Oh well another bill due ?

Ive managed to lose one of my key fobs. How do you go about replacement ?

My VRs diesel engine started to idle rough from a cold start. It soon cleared on driving. This is the first time I’ve noticed it ?

Um they are expensive, are new / recon ones the same spec as original ones

My 2010 VRs diesel is still running strong @ 145k miles. My question is is there an average service life for the injectors. Similarly I once changed out a set in a Ford diesel engine and the difference was quite noticeable
