The most less likely scenario is that an accident happened during transport and it got a delay because of it. And hopefully not a total loss car.

The only clause i believe is added in the contract is that if you have a certain option that is included in a certain pack/standard or option list your dealer can chose freely to add that pack or seperate option to you car without increasing the price. I know it is different in some countries but here it is like that. Just like the bought options they have to deliver it unless it has safety issues for example and or you agree to remove an option.

Trim levels were changed because of parts manufact issues with chips and other components so they changed each trim by removing options.

I have a Scala ordered end of june 2021 and have till date no good news. Estimate is march/april 2022.. and dealer promissed it was not going to be as the octavia, karoq... delay situation... but yet here we are..

Yeah and certainly if the dealer promises and guarantees not such delays but a 3-4 month timeframe when ordering..

So what is the best now with these new cars? I suppose it starts with 24months. Better to keep it 24 months for a petrol engine as it does not need much maintenance or still 12 months?

I was said at the order it would take max 3 months and no issues like the kodiaq, kamiq, octavia... yess i asked specifically! When we were nearing the delivery time there was no info at all. Now recently it suddenly became march/april 2022!! If he was honest and said minimum 6 months or even just say it will also be a problem delivery then i would have taken the dsg car that was not my spec from the showroom anyway. But hey to cancel now is to have nothing at all as the showroom is empty... and cars are only getting more expensive... This exact **** happened with my previous order that took 10 months and also only was going to be 3 months... I would think another dealer was going to be direct and honest... for me it was obvious it had to have a delay too but no i was promised it wasn't the case. Honestly next car will be another brand and see how it goes on the other side as Skoda charges premium prices now too.

Ugh Skoda is causing a lot of headaches... Have just received a call from my dealer with an estimate of march/april 2022... Ordered end of june 21 but registered beginning july 21 as an order.

I did not have canton in my config and still no estimate.

No idea ask, what did Skoda dealer say about it?

scala and kamiq can have the highline installed. Only hardware and wiring needed, but i do not think dealer will do it as it is not standard.

Had a call from my dealer today just to say nothing changed and estimate is not known... ordered end of june 21... sigh

You ordered from UK? If so i have mostly seen UK orders getting delivered. Also on other forum from other EU countries july orders still unknown.

There are kamiq pictures arround but with the highline which should explain the curving lines as it was retrofitted. Original Scala and Kamiq do not have that and in stead only have fixed green and red lines. Park assist should not have any effect unless those are last minute 2022 model changes to a highline model which i doubt honestly. So if you wanted too, the dealer could have installed the highline version as it is compatible. But they probably wont as it is not original for a scala or kamiq which Skoda did a louzy job in leaving it out for those cars honestly..

I believe every order that is pending from july 21 on will be probably arround week 10 2022

The Kodiaq has a better camera and also other wiring to get those moving lines. Kamiq and Scala afaik don't have them yet.

congrats I noticed they are changing those configurators packages and prices regularly. It will only get more expensive each month by a little. Biggest problem is for most is not being to order a car with the options you rlly want, even with those big delays.
