Agreed that it looks oddly shaped but I can't think of any other symbol it could be given it's location. A better pic, ideally close up, might give us more detail.

@Dean I believe the MkIII 2.0 190PS has a 60 litre tank with a six litre reserve so four litres short of the seventy. I suspect the 1.6 would have the same tank fitted 🤷♂️
