That silver trim is almost certainly available new or used somewhere.
  3. Might sound like a daft question but are people driving around with the heating on full or even half full because if so, that'll be why the car's taking time to get up to temperature. The cabin heater is drawing what little heat it can from the coolant that's flowing and therefore the engine will take a lot longer to get up to temperature. Winter/ colder months I always have the heater off for a while (with the heated seats on) until it gets to temperature. In my 1.6TDi Rapid just now it was 6C outside and after five or six kilometers at 60 and 50 Kph it was nice and warm and I swithed the heating on.

Škoda StoryboardWhat can VIN codes tell you? - Škoda StoryboardEvery car made anywhere in the world is given a unique identification number, known as a VIN. At first it looks like a jumble of letters and digits, but there is a logic to it and it conceals interest

  6. Check the colour markings on the springs maybe? @petrolbloke I agree, £325/ corner is wayyyy too high.
  7. Good morning and welcome back @Tideee
  8. There's a glaring flaw in that which kicked in a couple of years ago....
  9. It's not an app as such in the normal sense, it's a saving of Briskoda on your phone's main page. To get the logo with direct link on Android, tap the three dots when on the Briskoda site then tap 'add to home screen'. Chrome will then ask you to tap and hold the widget to add it to your home screen. @Dean knows how to do it if you're an Apple user.
  10. Overworked and understaffed bureaucracy no doubt.
  11. Fantastic!! Love that set.
  12. Hi and welcome to Briskoda @Searider 👋
  13. Wow MkI Octy. There's so much stuff about them on here about modding them. Peter Drury, Bowders, Delcac, Beryl's Chief Test Pilot, Monkhai......

    ? IIRC there's never been a Fabia with a 1.7TDi motor. 1.2, 1.4, 1.6 and 1.9 but not a 1.7.

Hi @Hillybill 👋and welcome to Briskoda proper
  17. Sorry about your app problems @Aspman but reading about them (and another member today- Kodiaq IV) I just want to find a MkIV Ford Cortina Ghia and avoid all the technocrap
  18. Yeah, always starts his show with 'wotcha' lol And yeah, updating HU's has gone backwards and sideways and any which way!
  19. G'day or whatever time it is down under and welcome to Briskoda @xlot After the ' Wotcha!' intro I thought you were gonna say your name was Robert Peston 🤣
  20. Hi 👋and welcome to Briskoda @fmartine21
  21. @Scotty68 that's because people search for the heater resistor which have a long history of failing on the MkI, II & MkIII Fabias (amongst other models) but I seem to recall a post saying the the MkIV Fabia has a heater controller ( @Breezy_Pete Might know more?) rather than a resistor. If you search for heater controller or heater resistor then you'll probably get more hits.
  22. Most likely the recurring Skoda heater resistor/ controller issue.
  23. Welcome back @reesky
  24. Hi 👋 and welcome to Briskoda @Dode
