  1. It's a conventional bulb, the same as the standard ones in the Monte (albeit a different colour). Anyone who suggests you need to modify the wiring doesn't know what they are talking about; unless of course you've misinterpreted someone's advice for fitting non-canbus friendly LED's...
  2. Is there any need to start yet another thread on the same subject? It's a blue coated P21W standard bulb, it will work. You will only get canbus errors with certain LED bulbs, not conventional bulbs. That's why I advised you to buy some canbus compatible LEDS in your other thread.
  3. No, as long as they are canbus bulbs they should work without any modification.
  4. Search for 'P21w canbus' on ebay, it will bring up loads of bulbs. You can either go for the surface mount leds:- or projector style cree's:-
  5. It's been discussed before on another thread and someone mentioned that F7S Dark Grey was a match for the Monte alloys. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Touch-Paint-SKODA-DARK-GREY/dp/B004N2NKZI
  6. Yep, as they're currently fitted to a mk3 Golf GTi they should fit the Fabia fine. I believe a few people on this forum are running 215's instead of 205's on the their VRS's without any problems.
  7. Yep, we're also using a set of these 'pepperpots' as winter wheels. They feel about half the weight of the standard wheels...
  8. It's just a small section of grill on either side next to the fog light. I believe it mentioned in the handbook.
  9. Sometimes the light unit does not seat correctly causing it to be a bit wobbly. I would recommend you remove the plastic grill section to the side of the light; this can be a bugger to get off as you have to squeeze the slats together while you pull (don't be afraid to use brute force). Then reach inside the gap and push the metal clip to free the fog light; inspect and push back it in again making sure that it has located correctly.
  10. All season tyres are probably a better choice than winters, especially down in Dorset.
  11. ^^^ That's a common problem with mkiV Golfs and Polo's of a certain vintage. I believe it can also affect the boot lock?
  12. Cool, I quite like them. Do you not get the black pack over there?
  13. What about Steel Grey? I dont think I've ever seen a VRS in that colour.
  14. I dont know if you've seen this thread? http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/251530-led-drl-bulbs-help/page__hl__+monte%20+drl#entry2962098
  15. ^^^ Sorry mate, got you mixed up with the op and his VRS. 195/55 15 will be pretty close to your 205/45 16's, definitely better than the 195/65 15 option. See if you can pick up a set of Audi pepperpot alloys from the old A3, they're normally pretty cheap (I got a set for £50 a while back) on ebay and gumtree and should fit straight on. Same goes for mk3 Golf GTi/VR6 wheels, they should be cheap and fit over your brakes.
  16. ^^^ Your spare will probably be shod with a 195/55 15 tyre which will have the same rolling radius as your standard 205/40 17's. If you fit 195/65 15's it will throw your speedo out by a bit. There's a useful calculator here:- http://www.kouki.co.uk/utilities/visual-tyre-size-calculator
  17. Ditto, got a stone chip on one of ours the other week.
  18. If you use Chrome as your browser it will translate it for you automatically.
  19. Black pack VRS takes a pair of h7's (single bulb does dip/high beam unlike earlier models)
  20. ^^^ I dont know mate, I've only tried them in my Monte. I believe it's an polarity issue with some of these LED's and the way the DRL's are wired up in certain Fabia's. I know it's mentioned on a thread somewhere on this forum.
  21. You need to adjust your headlights manually to see an improvement with the new bulbs.
  22. These work in the Monte:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/18SMD-1156-BA15s-P21W-CAN-BUS-LED-Stop-Tail-bulbs-WHITE-/180657021025?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2a0fff6061#ht_2331wt_1186
  23. The Monte Carlo (and the black pack VRS) only uses a single pair of bulbs for high/dip beam; so you'll only need to order one pair of H7's.
