  1. mine was never on autopilot, it was just cruise control I was using. Even when driving fully manually there was a spot locally where it veered into th outside lane of the dual carriageway every time. Tesla said it was because the car's software is in beta. My enyaq was £37k, has triple zone climate, HUD, autopilot that works much better than my model 3 ever did (and it doesn't require you to have the auto wipers wipong like Tesla currently does) , has android auto so I can use google maps (tesla's open source mapping got me lost several times) and the bluetooth actually allows me to have both my work and personal phones connected at the same time so I can answer whichever one rings - amazing tech not available on my model 3
  2. Sorry to hear that George. There's noway I would go back to a fossil car now, they're just crap in comparison
  3. where will you charge if not on the chargers? I am quite happy if people move to charging at home because it frees up the network for thise who are away from home and need to use it - rather than those trying to save a few ££. SInce they started to charge for power I have seen far fewer people moaning on social media about charging problems. It means that thos in flats or without parking off street are far more confident of being able to charge.
  4. it's amazing how often that type of driver comes back to find their tyres have gone flat 😕
  5. never heard of that, had mine for 2 years and been on enyaq groups on facebook for 2 years and have never heard of that error
  6. funnily enough I have booked James from that video to do my 2 year service. Saving myself over 50%
  7. no, the brake fluid change is another £50 on top
  8. I suspect I am too early with this question given that no UK enyaq will have hit the 2 year service interval yet, but has anyone had a prce for a service? From what I can see the service involved changing a £15 pollen filter (which takes a minute at most) and then checking the battery hasn't fallem off, recharging it and then doing a visual inspaection of the car. West End garage in Edinburgh want £299 for this. I am tempted to ask if I can't get the standard oil change service quoted on the web site which is £104 cheaper. I could then sell the oil and oil filter on ebay!
  9. My enyaq is even shorter than an Octy estate at 4.64 M

  11. I was in chill mode, my wife just didn't like it, plus the phantom braking she refused to believe wasn't me, I mean what car would randomly do an emergency stop for no reason? And on a local diual carriageway it invariably swerved and said "autosteer applied for your safety". I am much happier with the enyaq, it's just a better all round package and hasn't had a single problem in 22k miles
  12. yeah it's a very fancy drive train wrapped in a £25k car
  13. my local tesla place is supposed to be one of the better ones too. But they seemed to get fed up trying to fix the issues after about a year or so. It allwent wrong from day 1 (on reflection I should have really rejected the car) . Instead I waited 6 months for parts to fix defects the car had on delivery (it needed a new front bumper/ nose), then it started to whine noisly on the driveway - eventually they worked out there was insufficient coolant in the battery system, then they realised they hadn't repaired that properly so they had to replace the cooling system, another 4 weeks waiting for those parts. In 14 months of owning the car I had 11 other cars on loan while mine was in for repair. Eventually they refused to deal with the sand and grit embedded in the paint and said I had caused it. they're an absolute nightmare to deal with, an utter shower.
  14. I've got the bog standard 60, but I'm not 18 any more and it's a family car so accelaration ins't somethign I'm really bothered about , My wife and son used to complain about feeling sick in the tesla, so we used to take my wife's petrol golf if we were going anywhere as a family. The enyaq is a much nicer place to be. And it's not back at the workshop every month either. My local tesla service centre is suposedly one of the better ones 😕
  15. yeah Tesla are a nightmare to deal with - it's their way or the highway, I had a long argument with them about the sand embedded under the paint on my new car. They said I had caused it. In the end I just sold it as it was never out of the workshop. Very happy with the 60, the lngest drive I do in a day is about 350 miles down from Edinburgh to Milton Keynes so I don't need the bigger battery. No point paying for what I don't need. I've done a good few videos about my experience with the car www.youtube.com/@enyaq_gorm
  16. you are too kind George
  17. Having owned a Tesla model3 RWD for 14 months and having nothing but problems trying to get Tesla to take responsibility for the numerous faults that were there on delivery I gave up and sold it and bought an Enyaq. It's a much better car and you don't feel like you're driving a beta test product like you are with Tesla (a lot of the issues were dismissed by them as being down to the software being still in beta).
  18. mine had so many faults it was unreal. from day 1 it needed a new bumper, driver's door wouldn't close properly. Then they discovered there was not enough coolant in the battery system which meant the whole cooling system had to be replaced. In 14 minths I had 12 differentcourtesy cars, sometimes for weeks at a time. In the end they apparently got bored of all the faults and started arguing that they defects had been caused by me, so I gave up and sold it. Much happier with the Enyaq, it's a much better car all round.
  19. @toot George I think I must have passed you in this latest video, shame the enyaq can get to Aberdeen without charging or I might have bumped into you. enyaq
  20. I would not buy another Teslaif you paid me - shocking ownership experience. A long list if faultsI sort of helfexpected but what soured itfor me was their total disinterest in fixing things and in the end resporting to blamingme for some of the defects that were there from day 1.
  21. I've often seen cars like that with flat tyres when left abandoined on the chargers. People obviosuly get annoyed and take matters into their own hands
  22. having owned a Tesla for14 months I will stick with my Enyaq for now 😉. Our local council introduced charges of 40p per kWh on our local rapids - same as my peak rate at home. Allof a sudden the rapid chargers which were in use constantly, are now available for use. Much better for those with nohome charger, they can now use the chargers provided byu the council www.youtube.com/@enyaq_gorm
  23. Powerpass not only gives you discounted charhging at Ionity but also flat rate 35p charging at BP pulse, Osprey and Shell Recharge
  24. what has it got to do with the Government? They don't have the power to order the owners to do anythign with their chargers which (as I suspect you know very well) belong to a mix of private businesses and local authorities. SHould have got a Skoda, still averaging 4 m /kWh
  25. yeah but his definition of a "fault" was a bit iffy. He defined it as those they saw go off line while watching the app. If someone hits the emergency stop because they are too lazy to get their card out again or it's done by passing kids (happens a lot) then it shows as offline but pulling the red button out fixes it. Doesn;t mean it is broken, far from it. NBit he preferred to use that rather than the actual reports by drivers of chargers that were, y'know, actually not working
