  1. Looks like the drivers door central locking module is causing me non unlocking on the fob, stripped the door card off today but the carrier panel is riveted on so I cant access the unit to get the part number prior to sourcing a replacement. Can anyone assist with the number for a 2007 VRs? TIA ACSC
  2. Was keeping an eye on that very car as its not far from me and on my list as a possible Furby Mk1 replacement, now I need to watch what you do to it
  3. http://www.lincoln-vw.co.uk/ We use these guys for the Furby and Octy
  4. Did my rears this afternoon, guide was very handy, many thanks!! ACSC
  5. Had a very brief test drive in a 170 DSG Elegance yesterday while the Octy was in for some warranty work. SWMBO wasn't convinced on the DSG prior to the drive but soon took to it. When a few things pan out later in the year we will find a dealer that can offer an extended test drive and possibly try the 140 and 170 back to back. Cheers ACSC
  6. Thinking of combining both our Octy 2.0 CR VRS and the Furby 1.9 VRS into a Superb 170 DSG Estate. Anyone own an Octy 170 before their Superb Estate? Cheers ACSC
  7. Finally had time to remove the boot trim yesterday and source the cause of the lack of nozzle spray, to my surprise the hose was still attached but the fluid was spraying through the motor and out into the boot!! Had a quick read on here and this morning phoned Dennis Horton in Lincoln as my local dealer, they suggested popping down while the car was still stripped out and if they confirmed the motor fault as the cause it would be changed under warranty. Went down and they confirmed the fault, fitted a replacement and rebuilt everything I had taken apart, took a couple of hours but my 4 year old was plenty entertained with 7 different cars in the showroom to try out, her favorite being the Superb estate with the huge rear legroom and the electric boot Cheers ACSC
  8. Brimma, if you want to "trim" the fuel readings using my VCDS you are more than welcome, would need some guidance from someone who knows how to so it mind as I've not played with it yet. cheers ACSC
  9. :( All sorted thanks to Ilexa, car thought it was a 2 door version, now coded back to 4 and all is fine, didn't much fancy sleeping in the car till I go home Sunday!!
  10. Car went into dealers on Monday for a service, today I find out the back doors aren't locking, only by accident as a workmate opened one and set the alarm off, now I know they worked before as the kids had to wait to get in and haven't set the alarm off. VCDS scan shows no faults. Anyone got any ideas? I'm 150 miles away from home and the dealer until Sunday and then of course it's Christmas. Cheers ACSC
  11. Got my 15"s from my local dealers for £138
  12. They have to be 16"? Got 4 15"s from my local dealer for £140 cheers ACSC
  13. Fitted the bonnet lifter and PD160 intake to the Furby then washed it and ran a VCDS scan on my newly delivered VCDS kit, then connected up to the Octy and swapped the CH lights to the fogs rather than the xenons. Just need to get the anti hijack sorted on the Furby next and check the BT coding on the Octy. Cheers ACSC
  14. Recieved and now fitted, many thanks Denis!!
  15. Cant wait for it to arrive and get it on the Furby and Octy and do a few simple jobs. Cheers ACSC
  16. What does the 9mm version have to be opened up to to stop the EML then?
  17. Gregie, you got a link for the stuff you bought? Tempted to give it a diy shot
  18. What centre arm rest and drinks cup holder instead of ashtray do I need to get? Are they in other VAG car's?
  19. I'm still planning to come over on Tuesday
  20. Both valid points and I'm not going to rush in and buy a dog. Trouble is my take on immaculate or very good condition seems to vary from the sellers of a few I've looked at so far and as there is never any on the door step I'm wasting time driving some distance to view. What I'm asking more than anything is: would you rather own an SE with a few more miles on than a non SE with less miles on but both in very good condition? Cheers ACSC
  21. After 3.5 years of non furby ownership I think I'm set on buying another. Our old 04 plate was black with xenons, cruise and a few other options fitted. Looking in the classifieds,eBay,pistonheads and autotrader there seems to be plenty of higher mileage SE's around and a fair few lower mileage non SE's out there. What do you think is the better long term buy? cheers ACSC
