Well thats answered my question and I've now switched it back on!! I had read the manual and though that it only locked abouve a certain speed - being unlocked at all other times. S

Doh! Wasn't until I looked at the results that I realised I hadn't voted!!!

Well I'll go for £68!! Mine were fitted free as part of the deal - by all accounts its only a few screws

Hi Tony I had a Fabia VRS a couple of years ago. The Yeti (140 TDI) has smoother power delivery so you dont get the kick in the pants that you do with the VRS. But it feels brisk enough. Comfort is excellent and the driving position nice and high. Fit and finish to a very high standard and with the leather seats on the Elegance easier to keep clean - no light panels on the seats to worry about!! It will probably come down to the type of driver you are. If you drive the VRS hell for leather then maybe the Yeti isnt for you. Although that said it does handle very well. Some people are dissapointed with the size of the boot - although the seating makes the luggage space extremely flexible. From your post this sounds like a key factor for you so definately something to check out on the test drive. Cheers S

Same here, an ex Civic owner, and yes the paint is terrible on them. Cant comment on the Yeti yet as I've only done a couple of hundred miles but I did manage to bang the bumper with my tyre compressor. It left a nice blue mark which to my delight just polished off with no damage to the paint at all. On the honda that would have probably been a bumper respray S

Good point!! This was a 'test' park so didn't actually leave it there - sad I know but you've got to test out the new toys S

From what I can tell PA will park you in the same position as the other cars. If they are on the kerb then that's where you'll end up. I am guessing that this may be the cause of PA kerbing alloys. I think the motto is only use PA inbetween nicely parked cars!!! Cheers Simon

My Yeti came fitted with Park Assist. Cant say that its something I would have gone out of my way to have. But - wow its fantastic. Even the 13 year old wanted to see the car park itself  So heres where it managed to get itself earlier today. Must admit I didn't think it would do it and it was scary sitting just sitting there while it did!!! Apologies for the not so good camera phone pick but you get the idea. This was a VERY tight space. The only thing I need now is a Un-park Assist to get out again! I think PA is definitely something that I would be keen to have again. Cheers Simon

I think TP is correct. I have the off road pack and protective film on the rear doors. Simon

No visible clock for the passenger - niggles me that SWMBO keeps asking what the time is! No rear seat belt indicators Not a great deal to moan about really!! S

Looks great!! I just wish they were a bit cheaper!! S

Hi The strip is plastic and wouldn't offer a great deal of protection from claws (in my opinion). There is a better image in the brochure linked below. I also got the fold out protector with the triangle on it. Listed in the Yeti accessories brochure for £7. http://www.skoda.co.uk/pdf/brochure_yeti_accessories.pdf To be honest this isnt great and is a hard plastic that seems quite brittle. I've split mine already - I think the best option for dogs is a blanket or something similar that you can fold out over the bumper as required. Thats what I'll be using for Elsie my greyhound! Thanks S

Picked my up yesterday so a couple of obligatory photos for you!! Its Cappuccino beige but the colour changes quite dramatically with the light!! Front view - note additional front bumper strips  Close up And rear bumper strip to match Cheers Simon

Cheap Bluetooth Phone that works on the standard Elegance spec
SimonVespa replied to SimonVespa's topic in Skoda Yeti
You're right not a single answer. Theres actually three in there, but I admit they may be well hidden Which Bluetooth module have you ordered? - NONE comes as standard with the Elegance spec Does it support music streaming (A2DP)? Did you test it? - The radio does (at least i've seen settings for it) not sure about the phone. No, not tested. Which audio unit do you have? Standard fit Bolero With hindsight Ii'll try and edit the title of the post. Its only a cheap phone that works with a pre-installed set-up that I've found - not a complete BT system. Cheers S -

Hi! Thats a lot of questions The Bluetooth comes as standard on the Elegance spec. Thats the one it works with!! I think the unit support streaming not sure about the phone. Thanks S -
Hi all Picked up my Yeti today and loving every minute of it. Photos to follow when I stop driving it Reading all I could about the built in Bluetooth it was clear that my LG phone wouldn't offer full functionality. The solution? A Nokia 2330 Classic - everything works as it should including the call lists and the best bit is this little beauty is only £30 on pay as you go!! Heres a link to it for those that might be interested. OK it doesn't have a great camera and all the bells and whistles but I only tend to make calls and send the odd text so suits me fine! Thanks Simon

And I'd know what I'd buy!! Picking mine up tomorrow woo hoo. Can't wait!! S
-
Exciting isnt it!! Pick mine up this Wednesday - counting hours rather than days now! I've only had a 4 week wait so cant imagine what a 12 week wait must be like Have you ordered the rear seat passenger or do they all come with them?? Simon
-
Just been told I can pick mine up next week Roll on Wednesday! Simon
-
Things are moving by the sounds of it! Mine arrived in port yesterday. Waiting now to see how long it will take to get to the dealers. Hoping to pick it up this weekend but I think it will be tight! Update: too tight as it turns out - next Wednesday for me! Simon
-
mmmmm....... ive emailed them as they say 'included' on the web - but I guess a trip to Halfrauds will be in order! Simon
-
Hi John Did you get the 2 amp fuse included with the fuse holder? Mine came on Friday without one! Thanks Simon
-
I'm guessing here as my Yeti is on a ship! But I reckon it turns on the front parking sensors??? Simon
-
Assuming delivery of the Yeti goes to plan i'll be up for this!! Looks like a 2 hour trip from home so not too bad. Might bring Elsie the greyhound - I take it dogs are allowed in the area?? Cheers Simon

My Own Road Test of Hyundai IX35 and Peugeot 3008
SimonVespa replied to redandwhitepauly's topic in Skoda Yeti
Pretty much identical to my views on the ix35. I was really looking forward to it, being happy with i30 (we have two in the family). I thought the quality of the cabin was a big let down and poorer quality than the i30. On the short test drive it just didnt feel right - unlike the Yeti that fitted like a glove!! Simon
