  1. gick. thats how i would describe tonights run. that horrible heavy feeling when your stomach is processing too many chipper chips and chicken. need to buck up on Monday!
  2. or she may be insulating herself against possible covid transmission from their cups etc?
  3. ugh. twas a tired day. and so .. lost 8 sec/ km. i dont mind though, ill pick it up on Saturday
  4. i was too hard on myself 8 seconds per kilometer to find. holy god thats gonna be tough, considering tonights attempt hurt so much 😳
  5. yup.. or snow or gravel or heavy rain
  6. yup. they will sell hundreds of them in the middle east..
  7. excellent screensaver video if it was 1999. very lovely though
  8. nah, see thats different as its an insanely designed car and the 4 pipes are square. the sloped twins on the M just look strange and a bit naff.
  9. figured out the metric swap. given the covid test development i wasnt really feeling like a run but went anyway. and took it handy.
  10. Ffffffuuuuuuu........ it. 🤬🤦‍♂️ anyone know accurate the fitbit gps is???? and.... how to change it to metric? still another minute to find..
  11. borked linky there m'lady. the first one works, that is.... Early 00's modified peugot 306 on the cover of Max Power naff...
  12. ill have to get swmbo to measure me properly, and then see i think. theyve no small or medium stock in the vaypor kit atm anyway, which seems to be lighter and softer than than the koulin gear.
  13. running on Roast Ham loin, potatoes and veg tonight ... spotify started acting the 97ick and faffing with it definitely cost me time on the outward leg, hitting the turn in 13m 4sec.. i gave a bit extra on the start of the return leg to make back some if the time then realised after about 600m that i had hit the stop button, not lap button the watch 🤬🤬🤬 so i dont know my actual time, but i knew from "clocktime" when i left so was able to ball park it that i wasnt far off 26mins in total. made me happy. then, while still annoyed with myself for the stupid mistake i had a sweaty epiphany. if my route is, by google, 5.2km so i turn at a nice big easy to spot landmark, and im doing that in just over 26mins.... yip, im running about 200m per minute. which means i need to run an exact 5k on Wed night, because i may have hit my original target of 5k in under 25mins by the start of sept. remember that i lost a week the end of August, so i think goal 2 may be awarded! ( goal 1 was running 5k without a walking stint) just have to remember to have chicken for dinner wed... not steak...
  14. God knows dundee needs something like that help lift it socio economically. fair olay and i hope it works for the community as a whole!
  15. its really annoying, but... yep. a transit is hard to beat most of the time. 1000s of them oit there so should be alright to get in whstever budget and spec you want. it doesnt matter which size you go with they all feel pretty much the same to drive and have decent towing capacity. and load space is really good.
  16. i probably will end up going for fittings alright, but having a bit of pre acquired knowledge helps cut through the sales blumff and avoid gettin sucked i to the pitch to "upgrade" to a pair a of nike vapourfly or some other massively over priced shoe thanks for the Brooks tip, hadnt heard/noticed them previously so will have a look for them
  17. from the running diary, you'll know ive started running - since July. i need new trainers, but they will be for running only, not day to day use. Im currently wearing out my 3rd pair of Asics Patriots, which ive always liked as a good fit, pretty light, supportive and look alright. but theyve really been day to day footwear in between wearing toe capped boots in work all day and house shoes at home with my 1 night a week at circuit training for an hour. so, whose got a recommendation for a good fit, supportive and lightweight road running shoe? i like sketchers too, but their recent shoes are a very narrow and so too tight across the instep.
  18. oh my god... thursday was tough. i was tired after the week to that point. and running after a steak dinner it seems isnt a good idea. today, its a worse idea to run after a delicious take away Steak and Pepper Loaded Fries. cramp at about 3k, and heavy running with it. running at 930 at night also mightnt be a great idea... ahwell. push harder monday night after a chicken dinner..
  19. the canera on my own A20e is pretty darn good, and i have an iphone XR work phone which is as good or better. i doubt either of them would get that level of "wing frame" detail..
  20. did you have lens on the phone for yhat shot??
  21. @ColinD whats the fit like on Alpkit stuff? by measurements im a small, but itsborderline to medium. i know tighter is better (to a point) for base layers, but if the fit is tight i may be better going med. but dont want it bagy either.
  22. Hi Siobhain, i cant help with your issie, but I know Gentle Giant hasnt been on for a couple of years now. and Clunk (Nick, the OP) was possibily permanently banned for being a ..... difficult member.. definitely banned and definitely not back since..
  23. in Ireland, but my experience of vodafone for 10yrs now is. .... grand. best value packages available we had 50mb bb that we always got above 35 with. we were fibre to cabinet and cabinet only 200m away. now have 1gig fibre to the house, its good, but the routers arent as good strength wise as the older ones. however, MIL lives atound the corner in the same estate and also with VF , same package as us, she ditched during the week as she has had constant hassle with the wifi dropping out and the landline not working. finally got sick them and is going AYCE data on her mobile and using that for hotspotting her tab for 1/2 /the monthly cost.
  24. its audi drivers and kia sorento owners for me lately.. The attitude type of so many your posts like this in so many threads is really getting boring now.
