  1. I think it would be good if you got a new camera as the pictures taken of the washed cars don't impress as they intend to. I'm sure the cars look alot better in the flesh. First Appearances are everything Hope you do get more business. good luck
  2. the bumper on the polo looks awful...I hope thats not yours. although from looking at the wheels on the VRS I am not too confident of a negative.
  3. When I went on my boarding holiday at the beginning of January in the Alps I stumbled upon an Audi test track that is untreated and is left to the eliments! The test Track is between Val D'sere and Daille and they offer an hours drive in an S3/TT and also a passenger ride in and Audi R8! It is fully organised by Audi and looks well managed! The cars were pretty much brand new and looks the business! The S3 I drove was bright Orange! The S3 drive allows you to get to grips with driving in Ice and Snow around the track firstly with all the electronics swithed on and then once you get to grips with it, the ESP is switched allowing you to have complete control of the car. You also was asked to not allow the ABS to kick in when the ABS was switched off to further increased the difficulty level! The instructor gave tips when you drove around and was really good. He allowed you to push the car not fully to it's limits but far enough for the conditions and on the straights allowed you to completely nail it before braking before the corner! Unless you wanted to plough through the snow walls! and break an Audi! The instructor also showed you how to go around the track and what to do. Towards the end of the hour I was driving around ther track quick enough and even did a couple of corners full bore controlling the slide! Obviously I couldn't resist a passenger ride in the R8. It was absolutley fantastic and no words can explain how it was to be in such a car. I'm sure it would have been more of a joy to drive it on tarmac but to ride as a passanger on snow was still satisfying! At the same location is an Ice Karting track! Which was great fun....snow tires with studs in. Alot of fun. It is all setup with timing equipment so fastest laps can be recorded! I beleive the heavier you were the faster you would be as I didn't do very well at all :( on the dry I'd like to think i'm quite difficult to beat by the average driver. overall a great experience and thought I'd share this with you all and maybe if you do go skiing or boarding in Val then you can take the extra cash and do what I did!
  4. can someone delete this thread. it's a duplicate!
  5. same problem here... my car goes to the dealers for warranty issues includingthis one so will update you all if they fix it. No doubt they will use the same line as they always have done....."we can't hear it so we have done nothing!"
  6. Gus looks like a Labrador! Apart from the well know rottweiler markings I would have said it was one. Is it a pedigree?
  7. I think I have the same rattle as this thread fixes. The rattle occurs at exactly 1500rpm when slowing down in gear. It sounds like it's coming from the glove box but it's not. Oh and it's soo frustatring when it does it.... is this the same thing?
  8. I agree, I don't think it's going to get sorted this one since it's down to the crud on the road although you would not expect it to happen. The rear seat hooks make a metal tap sound and sounds more refined than the rubbing sound at the rear of the car going over larger undulations and speed bumps.
  9. Anyway I have sorted this now. For some strange reason the locking metal grasp had got the wrong side of the hook on the boot and jammed. A screw driver and 5 mins to figure out how to get it unprised was all that was needed. thanks for the people who helped me out.
  10. I think you are the only person thinking that I was altering the suspension:confused: Sums you up to a tea
  11. I have adjusted them down as I thought the boot was pushing too much on the rubber and causing a leak. I have already tried this though :(
  12. no it makes a noise as if the lock is trying to open bit it doesn't. thats with both boot release and fob.... I don't want to force it and break it.
  13. Can anyone tell me if there is an emergency boot releaese for the fabia? I was fiddling with the bump stops to try to fix a leak and the boot is now half shut:confused: anyone know how to do it or how I can open the boot? seems to be shut on one side but other is open. I have seen in the boot where a flap comes off and you can see thr boot release but not sure how to release it? any help would be appreciated
  14. mine are doing the same and also did it last year around the same time. it's well annoying! please please let us know how you get on
  15. ha ha, i've changed it a bit now, it didi look quite bad but still.....harsh but fair
  16. I'm not sure why this thread is in the Fabia support page? Are only Fabia drivers part of this christian motoring thing? If someone leaves a huge gap between the car infront of them, then yes I would want to overtake and put myself in that gap, pulling up the gap in traffic is the best thing you can do. Well maybe for the road I drive into work on. Traffic lights cause the queues. Too many numpties drive far too slowly and crawl through the lights, only 2 cars can get through say rather than 10. At traffic lights the more cars you can get through the better, leaving a big gap does not allow anyone else to get through the light creating a bigger queue. Too many planks leaving big gaps makes the problems worse. I don't drive motorways too often, although I do know the fast lane generally has idiots in it flashing there lights to overtake and making very dangerous maneuvours (i'm sure I have spelt it wrong,) even when there is no where to go infront Infact setting the speed limit to 20mph would sort the traffic problems out
  17. at 3 years old I think maybe I will look into leather on my car, a new head unit and maybe the pd160 pipe. Thing is with the cost of driving increasing I don't know If i'd want to buy another. I can't see me geting another car to be honest. What's funny is people say it can't handle... if you drive on the road at speed limits then I don't see the point of having the car handle like it's on rail,. Most of the time this reduces the comfort any way. Plus understeer = lack of ability of the driver
  18. Got 65.5 mpg on the dash round trip from Sheffield to Reading. Although I now the computer is optimistic the brim t brim measurements were 59mpg so not bad at all. Put cruise on at 65 mph and let it go. It's amazing what 5mph does to the economy in 6th gear. Also I think it helped that I had changed the air filter and performed the "cage" mod a couple of days before the trip. Can't fault it now. All the rattlesand squeaks are going away just a few to sort at the dealership. More than happy.
  19. the rallyflaps ones come with the VRS emblem on them. I decidied not to put them on. To be honest the flaps were quite straight forward to fit and anyone should be able to do them . They fit into the holes for the OEM flaps. The thng is the muck going onto the back of the car does not actually come from spray off the tyres but from underneath of the car from the road and into the vortex created by the hatchback shape. You cannot really get around the muck on the rear of the car
  20. "make" so sorry. was using my ps3 pad to type. Hope that EXPLANS everything..... so the only thing you had to say was about my spelling mistake? and after 1am! please get a life dude can you please let me know when you next add value to this site. I'm sure I will never hear from you again.
  21. You kame me laugh soo hard. idiot and just for you
  22. I read everything, even your posts:D. And I believe the ford bashing was just an example of how one person can think a product is good and another can think they are really really bad.
  23. Chris, what is with you? the guy has just said he had problem with his K & N! I don't know why you are defending them like you are, it's his experience and not yours. If you don't agree with what he says then thats fine but to say it never happened is just plain idiocy as you were not in his shoes. Many people would say a mondeo was a bad car to have and drive, but that does not mean they are wrong. It's just there opinion and you have to accept people have different opinions due to different experiences.
