  1. I was 44 minutes on the old Rapid at Stirling Castleview Park & Ride after failing to get the 3 under the canopies to start. Not normally an issue over the 40 minutes by a few minutes. There is no pricing on the chargers. Just spotted on CPS that now that the price is at 59 pence a kWh it is a 50 minutes max charging time then £1 a minute after that. 36 minutes & 20 kWh one day on the new chargers and 44 minutes and 26 kWh the next on the original charger. @wyx087 Tesla Supercharging at Eurocentral Motherwell between Edinburgh & before Glasgow if that suits you.
  2. Exactly. Whatever. Winter sports & BEV,s is an issue in Scotland or actually proper cold places and where there are long distances to travel. 6 + years on and now in Scotland with newer BEV,s there are plenty managing even with the crap charging infrastructure in the hills and glens and places people are going in winter. Have bigger electric car and bigger battery and for many it is no issue in Scotland. Have a small battery car and it is pretty poor.
  3. ^^^ Guff, it is the subject of the thread @fabdavrav and i remember posts, and the ones you drag up or use to. ,
  4. LARGE Mid Sized CROSSOVER.
  5. Someone is having a laugh here and at your expense. What exact car do you have and is it not worth at least £3,000? Age / trim? and no way should it be classed as a write off.
  6. VW were the ones that said 'If only everything in life was as reliable as a Volkswagen Golf'. Well sadly much in life is.... They have no good reputation other than spin from them for engineering or even procuring parts from others, not timing chains / tensioners, door / boot seals. DQ200 DSG,s, Water Pumps, haldex electric control panels, ECU defeat devices or SCR / AdBlue systems.
  7. Adventure car with the need for gloves on sometimes when you are on adventures where the Mobile Phone is not part of the Adventure to turn on the car or to open the doors for those that get back to the car first. Adventures where actual adventurers usually need to hide a key near the car just incase. That is incase the driver is dead on a hillside, fell in a crevice. The first report of a smashed in locked centre screen to get to the valuables then each after that will sort the insurance cost of these Ford Explorers. Has Ford actually ever improved Vehicle Security since the 1970,s?
  8. No new Power Stations are planned in Scotland to replace the Nuclear at Torness or the Gas Powered at Peterhead. There are those saying now that they do need replaced / supplemented. This is while objections are ongoing to Hydro and Pumped Storage facilities. Opposition in Scotland to the aforementioned as well. Actual elected members of councils being at the front of the queue to being against Solar Farms and Battery Storage. Anything that England gets going with should go on Jacob Rees-Mogg,s estate /land before building starts elsewhere. http://bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-politics-67628514
  9. @EldridChapmanThe Mat Recall were it applies is on those with a DSG. What other DSG recall is there?
  10. That is a LARGE mid-size Crossover BEV. Doh, Not so secret a place to put stuff anymore. But then those that break into cars never know stuff, not like motoring journalists and the audience. PS A really really flexible screen would be if in right hand drive cars it could be just to the right of the steering wheel. How modern and advanced and whoopee would that be from ford?
  11. Welcome @laurusbaurus Look for the Service record showing as the DSG having been serviced twice and the Haldex 3 times and what else there is a record of having been done. Pollen Filter, Air Filter, Diesel filter, AC, as well as the Oil Changes, fixed or variable regime.
  12. It is not 'We' it is England that can not generate or transmit enough. No storage capacity for the renewables. So get on with the Battery Storage, Pumped Hydro & charging and discharging from BEV,s. The Battery Storage in Scotland will need to increase by 6 fold. The Local / Scottish Grid needs to be started and not just spoken about. The big Pylons need built to transmit the Electricity to England and the Interconnectors. It is a case of the NATIONAL GRID making huge profits and talking about spending not so huge amounts to improve it without more and more money from the customers / tax payers and even the non-customer. PS The price that Customers are going to have to pay for the Electricity from the Local Battery Storage Facilities is to be sorted out now. It should certainly be less expensive than from the Grid, or the cost that the Westminster Government suggest that people in England near pylons can get the electricity for. Electricity generated far from where they are. There are objectors all over Scotland to these, and the pylons, sub-stations and wind turbines & solar farms. They need to wake up and not smell the coffee because no energy to their homes, or feel like those that can not afford what is plentiful but at rip off tariffs.
  13. If Skoda does the walk rather than talk and reveals the small BEV on Friday and when it will be able to purchase for much cheapness then it will be worth all the spin time in favoured mags.
  14. Radio silence still on Brian Morrison / MG EV driver in Scotland where the reports were 'The car would not go below 15 mph to the Car took over and drove at 30 mph. Neither the Police van or the MG being damaged when he was brought to a halt by driving into that.
  15. The Corsa electric often lost energy from the high voltage (traction) battery when left parked up and not just when cold. It was messing about and getting updates or revering to factory settings, or locking me out far too often. From one day to the next i could not be sure what to expect from it. It certainly never kept Updates that the techs at Arnold Clark's Service Centre did to it for more than a few days, sometimes not even hours after collecting the car from them.
  16. @Graham Butcher That is not a 'Claim' it is rubbish spouted from journalists that editors allow to be published. It used to be tomorrows wrapping for fish. Now online just as much inaccuracy and even the Date of articles are not to be beleived.
  17. DQ200 so 7 speed dry and a very low 1st gear really for starting off and stopping so something like below 6mph. Not often selected when driving then. Very different with various engines used with, no more than 250 Nm and from 192 ps in a Polo GTI 1.8 TSI down to 1.0 TSI,s and maybe 75 ps. A DQ200 could be equally as smooth as a Wet Clutch DSG. The software / management was not the same from 75 ps to 180 with Skoda or 192 with VW.
  18. Who 'CLAIMED' or wrote RAMMED? Which publication or was that a statement from the Police?
  19. Actually Type Approved from then, so new models. But now mandatory on any produced regardless of being type approved before 2022.
  20. @SouthernComfort Which engine did that have, and which gearbox a 6 or 7 Speed Wet Clutch or 7 speed Dry Clutch? Hilly Country, short sharp bursts of acceleration, climbing etc is just exactly what S can be for, as explained in owners manuals.
  21. It would use the same energy for the various journeys , weather etc if driven the same, same tyres etc. If there is battery degradation, loss of capacity, then you have less power in the battery to use. But then there can be built in buffers that appear to have some batteries having the same capacity to take in electricity. What 6.5 years old BEV bought would be quite important really. Or 10 year old one.
  22. Guest_ replied to survey's topic in Skoda Karoq
If not doing long life service intervals / oil changes there is VW502 00. Why they should mention using VW504 00 / 507 00 for fixed is simply because Skoda shows nothing about Fixed Service Intervals from the time of the WLTP and them going VW508 00 / 509 00.
  23. What has been done recently in the way of servicing since you have a Full History? What are you going to do? A 12 year old car getting Serviced with invoices for consumables is as good as any random Service Record from a garage. Spark Plugs, Pollen & Air Filter, Oil & Filter change, Service Brakes.
  24. How fantastic if they can get them built and with customers within a year and at anything near £21,000 in the UK.
