  1. ? Who told you these parts need to be changed, was it a trusted mechanic. ? Your car needs some maintenance, and who is going to buy it as it is. ? What are you going to be buying next because whatever it is you will need to maintain. Find a good trusted mechanic and stick with them. Fix this car and keep or sell it and then look after the next one. IMO that is.
  2. @Graham ButcherI am probably used to different house designs from you as my Uncle and his sons and their sons are house builders & they build at the sea side. My uncles house was not at the seaside it looked down over the land he owned and over the golf course and to the river. 2nd left, and he built the others, back of the house from the road, garages, and lovely entrances, and the front of the houses have the view and privacy. His Grandsons is the one to the right, build decades later & in front of the others, privacy in the gardens at the FRONT and the views.
  3. There is something not right if there is some Media conspiracy. Something not right in the head with the Youtuber as well. The dude needs to maybe get with the flow and let those that actually own the property and the vehicle and the emergency services and the insurer get on with things.
  4. They might well have, coming around the side of the house. So this is the garage, and to the right the side or some might say rear of the house, and looking out to someones garage next door what some might think is the front of this multi million home. Note the right side of the garage and where there is a instep in the building, The Rear maybe, maybe the kitchen, BBQ grill area at rear / side of property.
  5. @Graham Butcher I think the gadgy in the video and you might have some confusion over the property on fire. The Beach Front property. ? Is the part of the house facing the sea and the beach THE REAR OF THE PROPERTY? To me that is the Front of the property. If i have a BEACH FRONT PROPERTY i want the view from the frontage to be of the beach & water. I put the garage and entrance at the rear or side, at the access from the road, where the refuse people come, the trades people / pool cleaners etc. Maybe there is a nice Reception / Door even a FRONT DOOR, but really you are entering from the REAR. Or is that just too much confusion or lost in translation? ? Was the car destroyed?
  6. Welcome. Video not much of use unless a member of that Enyaq Group. ? Can you not go to a local garage with a mechanic and ask them to do a visual inspection without touching anything that might blow their socks off.
  7. @Graham Butcherwhat is it based on that you can say the fire starting at the rear of the house can be discounted? Is there something showing no fire at the rear while there is only the fire ablaze at the garage?
  8. I was thinking more of the models involved and the countries / regions that got even the Yaris or Yaris cross. My old iQ,s will be part of it though. Bl00dy safe vehicles with the passenger cell and 11 airbags. (If they still work and not part of that issue.) Skoda have tens of thousands of vehicles to get in and check the airbag issue with and VW Group millions.
  9. PS Re the Beach House / garage fire. Maybe here was a watercraft towed by a PHEV and put away in the garage or behind the garage, maybe even a electric / battery powered vehicle, or just one being fuelled with gasoline. Sitting getting readied for getting towed out. Maybe,s, if,s, but,s and guesses, and those there involved will know maybe more than an Eye witness seeing from outwith the property or viewing a video.
  10. It clearly shows that the garage appears to be ablaze and a vehicle is at the front or outside and no view of how long that garage is or how far it goes back and if attached or detached and if the utilities are at the rear or it is drive through and out to a BBQ area or whatever. Another one that will come out in the wash. .................. Truth of my EV, getting fully charged now @ about £6.00, and over the next week half the electricity needed to charge it will cost £0.00 & half is going to be@55 pence, 69 pence or even 75 pence a kWh. About 250 miles worth to pay for getting maybe 3.5 miles a kWh.
  11. They would have done better getting a Man / Woman with a van and all the gear and more than ideas in and sorted the vehicle if their Master Tech / tech or fitter are not up to the job.
  12. Not going to be too many on here affected are there? I had 2 iQ,s but over a decade ago.
  13. Welcome to the forum. There is a Cars for Sale section and it is cheap to advertise in there.
  14. Plonked in the middle between the White L shaped house to the left and the big green / blue house to the right is it not. So not actually there, just trees , about 4 sheds / garages / shacks on Google Earth.
  15. ^^^ Is that from before the house burnt down had even been built? I have no idea and maybe even the home owner do not if not at home and it was others there partying or just chilling out. They might know about the car the garage and the battery though and where the fire started.
  16. Welcome. If it was first registered before July 2018 then Skoda / VW UK or Dealerships would have Recommended, given Guidance or said the Schedule in the UK, an non dusty country was at 5 years / 50,000 money and taken from £650-over £1,100 to change the Cam belt on a 1.5 TSI ACT. Then in July they changed that and said it was many more years & miles before they needed changing. Lots of threads on that, including in the Karoq section if you look. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/514702-cambelt-change-neccessary-after-5-years
  17. @SuperbTWMI only made an indication that you just need to go to relevant websites and read them, Government ones or others, i never linked them because people on here know how to spell and use a keyboard.
  18. OK. So the garage has totally gone. Removed? Foreshorting from the road to the car and garage then in the fire video & pictures. EDIT. I see now in the bottom screen grab bottom left, sorry my bad,
  19. The thing about the after Beach House fire is that the garage appears in the after video to be still standing.
  20. As people do now. The real story is about Fleets, Busses, HGV,s Light Commercials, Taxis etc etc. Business and Commercial who should be getting Solar and Turbines and Battery Storage in place. The system is tried and tested globally already so where is the UK Innovation. It is just the Westminster Government dragging behind after Theresa May MP when PM was going on about the UK leading the world in EV technology a puckle of years back. Putting Millions into the young businesses.
  21. There are all sorts of weights, and even those that can not tow. Or could but would be trouble if you did fit a towbar and it goes t!t5 up.
  22. The UK Government are giving several million squid of tax payers money out to the chosen few businesses to further research vehicle to grid. It is not like the manufacturers have not done that already i suppose. More duplication and opportunities for photo ops, & Ministers & MP,s to get out and about. Look like they are doing something. Obviously mention of a Renault that will be on sale in 2025 is important, forget those that are older used EV,s and currently on sale ones with the 'Bright idea'. Britain is at the forefront of technology or far behind the curve, or is that Government Ministers and Secretaries of State and their Spin Doctors!
  23. I tried some parts lists but i am on a slow connection & did wonder how many Mk4 Estates they built. So that is from one of those. Have you just asked a Parts Department employee to check the part numbers?
  24. @automass Did you not have a fault then, just the tyre?
