Mechatronic unit failure .. :(
@AngelinaAsk in writing what the nature was of any software updates. Ask, What was the RECALL or Recall Action or Service Campaign for? http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions It is your car, your property, it is not a Data Protection issue where they can know and you can not. ?? How many miles has your car done & is it over 40,000 miles, if so was the DSG serviced @ or before 40,000 miles? This is different being a 1.5tsi http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/502781-gearbox-in-emergency-mode-no-reverse-gear

The Ford Pro Electric SuperVan.
They should, but no more room to carry any goods than in a Fiesta van if even that is an issue, as is the speed they are limited to depending on what the V5 shows.

Welcome. I will flag for a mod and they can move the thread to the Octavia section.- asking for information
Welcome. I will flag for a mod and they might move to the Superb section where you might get more replies.- Domestic charging points - A new social dividing line?
Toilets. Charging hubs with solar, wind turbines, battery storage and automated toilets. I would pay £2 for a crap and have had to in the past. Had to go buy food or drink during lockdown time to be able to use toilets. The government need to support transport hubs for HGV,s, EV drivers,. Any travellers. Proper commercial enterprises but owned by the people for the people and they can compete in the market. Training enterprises run by colleges / councils,. Regions. ................... Scorchio. My EV will have a flakey it is happiest at 18*oC, not 25*oC. Spending my money saved seemed appropriate. First of these big Hybrids i have seen charging. Hope it is not going to be a regular.- Domestic charging points - A new social dividing line?
BP polar at BP did my nut in trying to get the 3 chargers at Hearthill services east bound to work. Eventually I did start the rapid plus charger at a crazy 54 pence a kWh after a few false starts. Then I got a coffee for £1 because I was charging. The prices in the shop were. OMG / WTF, and then the charger was giving a crap speed. £12 credit on my account incase I need to use in an emergency like hell freezing over, the roads all grinding to a halt this winter and I get in there, or pigs flying.- Delivery times?
The gas to parts of the EU have been reduced this week. VW surely know about Fixing the roof while the sun shines. While Russia has not cut all supplies and the 3 countries that are getting plenty and will longer than the rest of the EU then surely they will get as much production done that they can. It is a pity that VW Group pee off suppliers by being bad customers, always blaming suppliers, screwing them over or trying to including those that supplies their chips. The unions might be happy to be more productive & flexible on holidays for more sausages as part of improved pay and conditions.- VRS or TFSI quattro ?
Be aware then if sub 40,000 miles then maybe servicing costs to be spent. If a DSG or S-tronic the servicing of the box at 40,000 miles. So £200 plus. If not done and past 40,000 miles then not great. Maybe spark plugs at the 40,000 miles plus. The brake fluid should have been replaced or tested. The pollen filter changed. So just check service record on the system or invoiced from an independent. If no record best assumed needs doing.- VRS or TFSI quattro ?
Welcome. You might as well get an Audi and with part time AWD & more than 245 ps. You might be looking at rough ones at that budget, so best be sure that servicing of the Haldex has been done and correctly. If getting a vRS with a VAQ front diff then be sure that servicing was done at 3 year / 30,000 mile intervals.- Domestic charging points - A new social dividing line?
There is a public charging hub in Edinburgh where EV Vans are having their tyres slashed because the vans are hogging chargers and the bosses are not being firm enough with the daft employees that could not give a damn. In Angus i Emailed the Convenor of Angus Council & other Senior staff and councillors when there were staff parking vans or cars on the very limited public chargers over holiday times. 100 yards away was the Council chargers that the public could not use.- Domestic charging points - A new social dividing line?
Actually for Charger Rage when you pull up to charge in the late hours of the night and a Audi Hybrid has been 14 hours blocking a charger, or an Audi or Tesla is plugged in for hours. People are getting peed off with the greedy and ignorant. The charger might stay locked in but they will be coming back to their battery not full and maybe their day messed up. eg She that parks up this Tesla overnight on the 50 kW charger of which there are only 2, and she might bother to turn up sometime in the morning and move it, and she appears angry when people leave notes on her windscreen. It did not stop her doing it. Or the Audi e-Tronic driver that would put their car on the other rapid charger all night. The light is Green on the charger and not Blue because the Tesla is fully charged hours earlier and not moved. If someone hits the STOP button it would be RED. The Smart is on an AC charger and i am next on the DC CCS. Next the black car is on the AC.- Domestic charging points - A new social dividing line?
They deserve each other with their annoying voices. No wonder her car gave up on voice commands.,..- Domestic charging points - A new social dividing line?
^^^^ Charging and paying the penalty for overstay looks to me like good value parking. In Edinburgh it can e cheaper to pay a Parking Fine than to pay for parking meters and be limited to 4 hours. Just as long as in a parking bay and the car is not towed. @EnterName Luckily for me for a while this older charger has been giving out electric without having to activate so i have been able to get an hours charge and enough to get home from Edinburgh Airport. Others have been using the chargers next to it and not noticing that Edinburgh City now have a limit of 30 minutes charging then the penalty. You have to come off a charger and move to another, the problem is how useless the card readers are and the communications and i have actually not managed to get any of the 6 chargers to start at some attempts. When i have got them going that has cost £6 for the 30 minutes which is fair enough, but really i do need an hour, and even the Black Hybrid Cabs need 50 minutes on the 50 kW charges. There are 4 22 kW chargers you can stay on for 3 hours, and then the 7 kW ones that are 30 pence a kWh and you can stay on for 12 hours. This is Edinburgh Airport Park and Ride. @ Stirling Park & ride there are 60 7 kWh chargers that are Free to use, 8 22 kWh and only 4 50kWh chargers. Free and with no penalty. I would pay there if they were to put a 60 minute limit on the 4 50 kWh chargers, that is to stop the ignorant that park on them for hours.- Another broken windscreen!
All the other mk3 Superb's are the same shape and do not have broken screens very often. ? Who is fitting your screens are are they OEM ones?- Drop-in 6-speed manual gearbox replacement for a 5-speed 1.2 [Fabia MkII]?
I do mean the Pressure Gauges are accurate at filling stations where you are paying a company for a service and you are trusting your nearest and dearest and the general public to them having their equipment checked. Millions of drivers must trust them. Plenty ladies use them. and some dispense windscreen wash for a fee now and not just H20. I have a tyre pressure gauge with me all the time in a man bag. I never drive other peoples cars, demonstrators or collect cars without checking tyre pressures. Cars from dealers / demonstrators are particularly bad for having over inflated tyres, and with hybrids or EV's it is ridiculous what they have those ECO tyres pumped up to.- Delivery times?
Nothing makes me think they can not finish MY22 cars while producing MY23 cars on the line. They are becoming Old new stock sitting about as they are. But them that is happening with other brands / models. What i think is they need to get their act together and those MY22 cars finished and punted out be them left or right hand drive before the new MY 23 cars are getting to customers. They have turned out older cars in the past while newer / next generation or more modern were also getting registered. Markets get confused when older cars are first registered and appear newer than the newest cars.- FWD or AWD?
@paulskiIt has been the case since the VW's could be on long life servicing that they come with Long Life oil and TDI's have always used long life oil for Fixed or Variable service intervals. There are no 2.0 TSI or TDI that uses a Dry Clutch DSG, they are 6 or 7 wet clutch. DQ200's are used only with 250 Nm or less engines and FWD and 180ps or less with a Skoda. Sticking to Fixed Service regimes or to 10,000 miles oil and filter changes is fair enough if that is the kind of miles you do annually by a higher annual mileage car will be just fine doing the 18.000 miles or so between oil and filter changes.- VRS on order...
What happened was VW Group needed to meet the Average C02 emissions in the EU & in the UK and were missing them and Skoda had models with lower ones so they wanted them first registered. So cars that were not fit for purpose were released and the Motoring Journalists just do the 3 monkeys. Now they have the partner companies with EV's to assist them get the results and still lower emission Skodas to punt out.- VRS on order...
@foxmeisteractually VW Group already knew they had issues with their inhouse software before they ever allowed new vehicles out to customers with the faults that they knew they would have to fix, but they had cars to sell, money to get in and customers to suffer for their greed.- Drive Modes
@sneal Probably at a Dacia Dealership. Or there will be a Kamiq, Scala or Fabia out there with a faulty gearbox and a manual parking brake.- Drive Modes
^^^But then that is a Mild Hybrid so again acts differently from a PHEV.- New owner impending...
Sooner than people that have already made orders have been told. That is how they roll. Their lips move so they might lie.- New owner impending...
Welcome. Is the delivery expected this year or within a year?- Delivery times?
We will see this year if VW are Simply Clever. The Czech Republic, Slovakia & Hungary are getting cheaper energy than the rest of the EU from Russia and it would be silly to not take advantage. VW Group already likes the cheaper labour there. - Clutch problem??
