  1. I seem to remember that early cars had a whistle issue and they got it revised part. Maybe that is just a false memory / dream. Search it.

The bottles and the spec says vw504 / 507. TSI fixed or flexible is the 504 bit. And a TDI even on fixed need 507. So vw 504 / 507 is what is used. Later for the WLTP they went VW 508 00 / 509 00. Tsi 508. TDI 509. 0w 20 fs IV.
  3. Best measure the wheels centre hole. But be aware that even then you need only only the right size but ok need that hold in properly. A push fit is not enough. If you have ones that need something to glue them there then it needs to be removable eventually. Heated and pushed from behind.

It is the correct spec for fixed or flexible servicing of a TSI. Pre WLTP engines. 5w 30 full synthetic III. (Long life). They is VW 504 00 / 507 00. Fixed serving is VW 502 00 so 5w 40 FS
  5. The tank is 45 litres off on the ground it might actually hold 52 litres. But actually there is the tank. Then up the pipe so brimmed. Then some VENT the tank if they are away to use the extra litres they get in. Read about venting. Many will warn you against it. Ps you have a limited time to edit if not a freedom member.
  6. Plenty will offer to make them sound as annoying as anyone wants and maybe a MOT examiner will have no reason to fail them as the the DfT / DVSA will not bother to specify what they should sound like. Have them sound like a diesel or a petrol with a misfire if that is your choice. More annoying than car noises. I hope his voice breaks soon.
  7. So is that clear glass and not Black Pack? Monte owners might be along. I take it that is the same as a Mk2 Fabia vRS clear glass, pre Face Lift. Someone will know exactly which for your 2013 Monte. A vRS Unit used will have Dummy Sidelight bulb in blue in it.
  8. Most likely as not supposed to be torn. You will know as soon as the replacement is fitted if it was the cause.
  9. I have a mates rate mechanic / auto gearbox specialist but even then it costs me more than that when paying for time taken.

I take it you took it to a Skoda Dealership / Approved repairer and not Skoda. So it is not OK if it was working as expected before and is not doing so now. Is it still within the Warranty or reported as having an issue while in the Manufacturers Warranty? .................. The Gradient matters, but then the Technician should know that, maybe checking the sensor.
  11. Not sure @TheYoungOnes or anyone else wants them living there long term. Maybe @TheYoungOneswill return to tell us more about their travels and car experiences.

Welcome. Time to have it checked out then. Is it still in warranty and has it had a Brake Fluid change at 3 years, or servicing done? What engine and gearbox has it, a manual or DSG? Do you have 'Autohold' enabled or not, and does that work OK enabled and disabled?
  13. https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/skoda/karoq/357955/new-skoda-karoq-15-tsi-se-l-2022-review If comparing a 1.5TSI vs a 1.6 TDI Karoq then there are no new 1.6 TDI's so it is used cars you are comparing and not the latest vehicles. None UK trim names, but latest models.
  14. The car can be damaged in transit and require a touch up and that information manages to bypass anyones knowledge and various excuses can be made for why the car has arrived in a country and is not ready for a PDI and delivery. Later on in the cars life when someone has a corrosion or paint warranty claim they tell the customer the paint is not to factory spec. Rare obviously, but funnily you only hear because of social media / forums.
  15. ? Are the cars build, delivered and in stock maybe lacking some features that the incompleted builds sitting waiting for parts were supposed to have so need to get before the build can be finished? Those cars sitting for a long long time are now going to be New Old Stock by the time buyers get them. Warranty will start at the First Registration on cars many months since almost built but driving under their own power.
  16. The Fixed Service Interval if the car was put on that is @ 9,400 (10,000) miles / 12 months. They come from the factory on Variable Service Intervals so 18,000-20,000 / 24 months. The DSG Wet Clutch Service Intervals are 40,000 or 80,000 for DQ381.s. (Audi for S-tronics are given as at 38,000 sometimes.) The Haldex is at 30,000 / 3 years or sooner. (Volvo used to be @ 20,000 and no idea if they still say that for all world regions or generations of Haldex.)
  17. How far will an Octavia iV with people and stuff in it go in average UK weather with a full battery and tank at the start of a trip. Is it about 485-500 miles for 50 litres or is it better than that?
  18. If your off peak electricity is 7 pence a kWh and it is 13 kWh needed so 91 pence to take you 25 miles then that is much cheapness if you just do 25 miles a day or between charges. So OK if your rest of day electricity tariff is not more expensive, and then you just need some petrol use occasionally. If you are paying 27.2 pence a kWh then you are £3.53 for driving that 25 miles, or how ever far that batteries capacity takes you. If you need to or do public charge at 55 pence a kWh then £7.15 paid is just not sensible.
  19. Doh, Post duplicated my one above. Sorry.
  20. VW Group had to compromise many things because they were not ready even for Euro 6 let alone the WLTP / RDE & now RDE2. Have you tried just the coldest air to the vents to your face so nothing to the screen or feet. I know nothing about setting on the newer Fabias but on nearly every newer car i drive it still needs Screen demist running to stop fogging even in good weather and vents to the face. Everything including EV's is as cold as i want which is under 15*oC and often i deflect from my face or shoulders when at that temp or lower.
  21. That nonsense should be stopping sooner rather than later just like the EV Grants that stopped yesterday. Lots of it is just taking the Michael if it is supposed to be about lower emissions.
