Zoe ZE50 First Impressions
The workplace needs to get battery storage for EV charging. There will be grant aid, tax allowances etc to install the chargers and system coming from the generosity of tax payers that are buying their own electricity, gas, petrol, diesel etc.

Public charging vs buying petrol
Lots of various public charging to try tariffs then for going on a 7kW charging. Cost to plug in,. £1 minimum charge that is a pita when a charger does not start and takes attempts. Free, 16 pence, 23 or 30 pence but now 35pencs a kWh at park and rides and likely to increase is a bit much. Still cheaper than petrol or diesel though.

1.5DSG vs 1.6TDI DSG
Miles on end of being able to hold a speed and not bring up and down the speed is a whole different thing really. Many find that sitting with a right foot doing nothing is what gives a dead foot, calf or what ever. Left foot redundant on an Auto is somehow different....

Should I buy a MkIV?
Sometimes Car Dealer Salespeople and Customer Service staff might have too much time on their hands to be completing 'Car owner Surveys' for cars they do not actually own but might get one as a perk of the job. If people like BRISKODA members 'Skoda Drivers' from here take part in the J D Powers survey then the J D Power survey might be worth pay attention to. When Skoda Models get great results in surveys like, Which, JD Powers, What Car, AutoExpress and there is a thread & a post from me or others asking how many members took part there is often nobody saying that they did. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/504554-what-car-top-50-reliable-cars-kamiq http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/499407-jd-power-2021-karoq http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/469440-octavia-jd-power-how-the-hell http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/413255-jd-power-survey-skoda-fabia http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/405659-skoda-tops-jd-power-reliability-rankings

@CarlstonIs the man that will be along with all the scores on the doors. Maybe he will advise you go for 15" rims and narrower tyres. Plenty of 17" Spider on mk1 threads. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/230519-17-spiders-for-fabia-vrs http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/225958-octavia-vrs-17-spiders http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/286902-octavia-17-spider-wheel-fit-my-fabia-vrs http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/435441-octavia-spiders-on-a-fabia-vrs-but-what-tyres http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/313938-16-or-17-inch-spiders

Wheels
Welcome. They have a 5 x 100 PCD & do fit. What size tyres are you fitting? The OEM size of 205/40 R 17. or 215/40 R 17 or 205/45 R 17 which will fit but were not the sizes that Skoda fitted to the Fabia, but Polo / A1 / Ibiza Twinchargers got 215/40 R 17 tyres as standard.

"SERVICE NOW" warning on display.
If the Service Interval was on Variable / Flexible so 24 months / 18,000-20,000 miles it might if it really was that smart with a Euro 5 1.2 TSI be able to let the owner know the oil needs changed sooner than 18,000 miles and reduce that interval. ? Has anyone with a 1.2 TSI with Long Life oil used ever had that happen? The engine is that well designed & manufactured & the sensors so sophisticated that by 2011/12 Skoda eventually came up with upgraded timing chain tensioners. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/87995-oil-quality-sensor http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/486386-location-sensor-oil http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/441935-oil-sensor-workshop http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/191291-does-octavia-ii-tsi-engine-have-a-oil-quality-sensor-interpreting-message-in-vcds-log http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/276407-oil-quality-sensor-in-superb-ii

"SERVICE NOW" warning on display.
Looks like they never reset in in April then. Someone here should be able to tell you how to just reset it yourself if your Yeti's Service Indicator is set at Fixed Service intervals. No plugging in required to set it. http://mr-fix.info/reset-skoda-yeti-oil-service-reminder

Space saver tyre and rim size
Be it a Space Saver or a tyre / wheel to save space it is for an Emergency and being an odd one out you need to reduce your speed if it gets fiited. Put the pressure below what the max pressure shows on the tyre since it is in the boot for when needed and if you fit it you can let some air out. Reset the TPMS and drive on safely until you get the tyre fixed or replaced. 40 psi will not do any harm as a pressure to have it at.

Engine Rattle
Really you need someone who is with you and the car to help you identify the source of the noise and what action needs to fix it.

cleaning great fuel injector
I can not, because i am Scottish and tight & buying fuel costs enough without putting snake oil in the tank.

"SERVICE NOW" warning on display.
A Service Indicator is good. Maybe it never ever worked & now has decided it is time that it did. At the last Service the person must have reset the service indicator or maybe not reset it. ? When was the last service done? If set / reset and on Fixed Servicing last time the interval might be 372 days / 9,400 miles.

Octavia iV Estate - flat 12v battery
@brelmondoHave Skoda had opportunities and attempts at sorting out the issue since they did work back last October?

1.5DSG vs 1.6TDI DSG
Using Cruise Control can use more fuel than driving the same route without cruise control and lifting off the accelerator into corners etc. But then engine / gearbox type and when you get 'Coasting function' can save fuel better than when using Cruise Control if you have your toe off the accelerator when not needed. All about road / journey type. Some just drive like they have always driven at the speeds they drive and they just buy fuel as and when needed and hypermiling or driving for economy is not something they think about but maybe economy comes naturally the way they do drive even using cruise control.

Public charging vs buying petrol
If 13 kWh costs 23.4 pence a kWh then that is £3.04 If the 13 kWh of electric takes you 25 miles on just electric then compare that to 2 litres of petrol @ 178 pence a litre taking you 25 miles. that would be £3.56 (If you get 10 miles to a litre (45 mpg) then the 25 miles would be 2.5 litres x 178 pence a litre. = £4.45) If you charge free at a public charger that is much cheapness. A low night time / off peak tariff is much cheapness... If your house tariff is 27.2 pence a kWh then you are at £3.53 for 25 miles.

Finance - 2nd year warranty. Want to buy in cash
Good. FSH. Not always to manufactures recommendations though. That needs checking. But it is low miles. The pollen filter should have been changed @ 2 years and the brake fluid @ 3. Or at least tested. The next service should be the pollen filter again, and even the spark plugs at 4 years even if not near 40,000 miles.

EV real world range and cost to charge
^^^ Thanks. I just spotted the news article when looking for more about them. There are lots of Tory Donors involved with EV's now including EV's and Subscription. Hard not to get political, but the UK Government supposedly wanted to take back control and have fuel security. Supposedly reducing the importation of oil and gas. Allowing a monopoly over EV charging in the UK into the hands of overseas investors and owners will be something they will be fine with.

EV real world range and cost to charge
I heard a Multi Millionaire Tory donor on the radio today. Alasdair Locke. I had heard of him before from his interests in Oil and filling stations and distilleries but i never knew who the Filling stations were, whee or who they were involved with or the name of the company. He said they are going to be the biggest EV charging providers in the UK. Motor Fuel Group. MFG. https://www.motorfuelgroup.com/mfg-ev-power-change-in-tariff

Delivery times?
Sorry about that. The difference between Ooo & Ahhh. a Ba's hair. So the Russian sales will be a thing of the past. Selling more than SEAT need not mean they are the favourite child. Look how Skoda buyers get less of a choice of vehicles, power, drivetrains. ? Are they counting CUPRA as SEAT or have they forgotten that CUPRA is supposedly not SEAT. EDIT. Yes they did include Cupra in the SEAT registrations in 2021. Seat increasing sales but reduced profitability. *** Note the difference you get with Skoda, Sold or Delivered. VW, AUDI, SEAT and Skoda do lots of selling to themselves with new cars, then they are leased by VW, Owned by VW Finance or pre reg and sold as Used Cars. That is is usual times.

DSG oil change, proof it's done
No idea what DSG they use only 2 litres of oil in, maybe if they service a DQ200 or work on one, these have 2 oils, in the box and in the MCU. 5.5 litres is about right, so if they have all the gear and more than ideas then good @ that price, A main Dealer participating in the 3-10 year old cars fixed price service and maintenance are £215. ? If you have a VAQ front Diff has it been serviced. @3 years / 30,000 miles is the interval for that.

Finance - 2nd year warranty. Want to buy in cash
I would certainly want 24 months warranty cover. So with the car or buying an extension when the time comes a year on. ? What car, engine and gearbox. What servicing has it had. Each year, or first in 2021?

Finance - 2nd year warranty. Want to buy in cash
@Jakefabia22 Sorry i never said welcome. I did not notice you were a new member. ? Are you looking at a car 2 years old or older so with the Manufacturers Warranty expiring at 3 years and with this offer of a 24 month warranty rather than just 12 months on a Skoda approved used car? https://www.skoda.co.uk/used-cars/deals http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/504445-skoda-insurance

Delivery times?
Cars are getting to dealerships and to new owners as and when available, and that is just how it is. Skoda is very much bottom priority for the VW Group as their lowest volume sales globally.
